Pros: Nothing I can think of Cons: Can store only a few song with higher quality music
I have been up to date on the developments in mp3 technology for well over a year now so I'm quite interested in this product. I have about 1 Gigabyte of mp3s on my computer at home and theoretically would find such a device invaluable. I could use this...

Pros: Compact, sounds great, digital files = no skipping! Cons: not enough memory
I love the idea of mp3 players - small, nothing extra to carry (other than maybe your flash memory floppies, more on that...) and easy to use.
I am an mp3 junkie (see one of my fave url's!).
The Rio 300 is a great way to listen to...

Pros: Small, light, no moving parts, easy to use Cons: no ID3 support, only 32 mins of music
I've been tracking the Diamond RIO since before it was even available on their webpage. When I heard you could put MP3's into a walkman (even smaller actually) and then play them, I was ecstatic. It has all the benefits of Sony MiniDisc, with a lighter...

Pros: Good sound, light small size. Cons: Poor software & support, incompatible with some computers
The Diamond Rio PMP 300? I'll keep my Walkman thank you...
First unpacking the box, I have to admit, I thought the Rio was cool. Sure I noticed that it's not built sturdy, like the other portable audio widgets we've used for years, and sure I...

Pros: n/a Cons: n/a
The 300 is fine, it's the company that produces it that's the problem. Lost star 1 The supplied CD has only music web links and no setup for the control panel.I demanded they send me what I paid for. Their reply was I should go to some web site and spend...

Pros: Can get free music to put on it from all over the net, can make mp3s off your own cds with included software, Cons: Extra Memory Cards are very expensive, memory is very unstable
I have an expansive mp3 collection, ranging from my own cds of big names to smaller bands that I found at sites that give out them, some are good and some aren't. Well, up until now, if I wanted to them, I was stuck sitting in front of my computer....

Pros: Compact, works well, cheaper than other systems Cons: Low memory, computer interface really sucks
I've been waiting to get myself a portable mp3 player for quite a while now, so when I got the Rio 300 special edition as an early Christmas present, I immediately gave the thing a whirl.
Does it live up to my anticipations? Yes and no. ...

Pros: BI-DIRECTIONAL data transfer. Reasonably priced now that newer units are out. Cons: Yeah, slower parallel port transfers (but screw that SDMI nonsense!). Eq settings reset unexpectedly.
(Updated 4/22/00) The thing Diamond doesn't want you to know about the RIO is that it can transfer data bi-directionally!
There are MANY opinions written already about Diamond's ground breaking RIO Portable MP3 player. Yeah, the Rio and Rio...

Pros: Lightweight, relatively small Cons: Can't resume, software runs on win95/98 only
I got this for the purpose of listening to audio books, not playing music. For my purposes, the player is perfect except that it can't resume. If I have a 30 minute mp3 file, everytime I stop it I have to start from the beginning. The player can...

Pros: Portable, easy to use, convinient, lightweght, small, loud. Cons: Doesn't seem to be splashproof; non-durable.
My birthday was coming up and I wanted only one thing, that would take me out of my room and let me go gym with my most favorite toons - MP3 player.
Well, I was bitter, after I found out, that all of supplies of RioPMP300 were sold out within...

Pros: Portable, battery efficent Cons: low capacity, bad quality
This product is in essence a credit card sized portable MP3 player. The bottom line about the PMP 300 is that it is simply and frankly out of date. This was one of the coolest most popular items a few months ago, but now with MP3 quality increasing along...

PMP300 RIO MP3 PLAYER
With the advent of Winamp, Napster, Gnutella and a slew of illegal web sites distributing MP3 files, my hard drive at the office quickly became the home to hundreds of MP3 files. Being an avid runner and a lover of...

Pros: size, battery life Cons: flashram, only fits 5-7 songs for me...
I own a Rio PMP300. It's not that great as you think it may seem. The box may say over 1 hour of recording...but accordingly, if you have mp3s at 192kbs, or 160, then u can expect i would say 6-7 songs MAX on this thing. Its good because of it's...
