Great prints on the CHEAP, but time is EXPENSIVE

by nad_masters nad_masters is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Computer Hardware, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 08 '03
Pros: Affordable, quality build, brand name, USB/PPort options, good print quality, CHEAP
Cons: Small paper capacity, small ink capacity, slow, print head built onto printer
My boss... what a cheapo. :) He wanted me to build him a cheap PC for horendous ammount of work he'll want me to put to use (web, database, printing, research, etc).

So once all that is done, he wants a printer. Well, I can't BUILD him one,...

Exceeded all expectations

by yoshimato , Dec 11 '02
Pros: Can't tell whether the photo is from Target or from the C62.
Cons: Slower than photo printers and cannot do edge to edge printing.
Updates about compatible ink cartridges and long term usage. A personal or photo printer My printer at home is out of action for a long time. I'm a paperless inclined person so it doesn't matter that much. But somehow you need a printer. Say ...

More problems than you can shake a fist at!

by Bouv , Jun 22 '06
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Ink easily builds up on the heads and inside.
For my job, the printer that came with the computer I use is the Epson Stylus C62. My parents, when they first bought their computer, got a Epson printer with it (can't remember the model number). I remember it did what it was suppose to do but it ...

Best AT HOME multi-purpose printer

by missyteila , Feb 17 '04
Pros: Inexpensive, multi-purpose, very quick printing, print exceptional quality photos, accepts generic ink cartridges
Cons: Epson INKJET photo paper can be expensive (but it looks the best)
The first thing that struck me with this printer was that for such a nice printer, it sure was inexpensive, around $60. The printer comes with a CD for easy installation of the printer. I had the printer connected within minutes. Being a college ...

Run! Don't walk...away from this horrid thing!!!

by zx1089 , Jun 25 '05
Pros: Decent quality photo prints, speedy text printing (in draft)
Cons: Perpetually clogged nozzles, chugs ink worse than a Hummer chugs gas!
This is the worst printer I've ever owned!! Why? Well, not for it's decent picture quality - that's fine. It's just that it takes an entire evening to get that picture printed. ...AND half a day's pay, too!! I decided to replace a perfectly good ...

Great quality for the money! If you can put up with hassles...

by herrmann22 , Apr 14 '03
Pros: Awesome print quality for the price, easy to use, small in design.
Cons: Paper jams, noisy, goes through ink pretty fast.
I wanted something that would print a great quality photo without spending a ton of money, which nobody should have to do. The Epson C62 was perfect for my projects. When you use photo paper and properly setup the print features before you print, you...

Not a bad little Printer

by dria , Feb 13 '03
Pros: Small and compact size. Leave lots of room on the desk, when space is minimal.
Cons: Noisy Turning on and off.
My husband received the Epson Stylus C62 as a Christmas Present this year. We use it for at home only.

Although we have only had it for a matter of two months that has giving us enough time to find some faults with it.

The setting...

I love Epson printers

by montagnancy , Jan 17 '03
Pros: good quality for the money; inexpensive ink replacement cartridges
Cons: a bit noisy
In my opinion, Epson Stylus Printers are by far the best because they are always dependable and affordable. Replacement ink cartridges cost much less than other brands, and when you use a printer as often as I do, that is very important. This Epson C62...

My 3rd Epson

by upbeat80s , Mar 10 '03
Pros: Quality
Cons: 2 ink cartridge system, Cost of the Ink
I bought the first Epson ink jet (I even helped the store help unpack the crate so I could grab mine from the top). Since then I've upgraded twice with each printer lasting about 5 years. With each model Epson has improved quality, speed, and noise....

Good solid basic printer

by ejvd , Nov 23 '08
Pros: Very easy setup, quick printing, inexpensive, good documentation
Cons: Noisy when starting up
I have had Epson Printers in the past, and they were always very reliable. I needed a new printer to do basic stuff, and this was a very reasonably priced printer at Office Depot, so I went for it. I just got it, so can't tell you about the amount of...

Great printer for the price, but use Epson Color Ink!!!!
by wmcot ,Jun 30 '04
Pros: Fantastic printing in both black and color for the price! A real deal!
Cons: Expensive ink and "generic" color cartridges maight be off-color.
I have really enjoyed my Epson Stylus C62 printer. Black printing is very crisp and clean. Color prints on photo paper look just like photographs. Unless you need EXTREMELY high quality photo printing, this one is a low-cost gem!!!!
It is a bit slower and a bit noisier than more expensive printers, but I'm willing to accept that for the price. Epson ink cartridges are expensive! I have tried different "compatible" cartridges and have had good luck with inexpensive black cartridges, but the "generic" color cartridges never seem to be the right color (usually a slight red tint) I recommend that yousave your money by buying the generic black cartridges, but sticking with the original Epson color cartridges if you want your pictures to have photographic quality.
