Rotel RX-950AX Receiver

Pros: Does all you need and nothing more

Purchased used recently for a den system, I only paid $175 so there really isn't much to complain about.

Build quality is great and includes decent speaker binding posts. Like the rest of the Rotel line, this receiver has a reasonably-thick aluminum faceplate.

Just the right degree of flexibility is offered without over-doing it on features and buttons. No subwoofer output but pre-amp in and out add to future flexibility.

There is a disturbing "burp" sound when switching between sources.

Tuner is surprisingly good - better sensitivity, in fact, than the Rotel 940 in my theatre system!
