Pros: Excellent pictures, good menus, good control set. Video clips with sound are unlimited length. Cons: Only 16 megs of onboard camera memory, Video is lower resolution than other digicams.
I really like the Samsung 420 4 megapixel camera. It takes excellent pictures and has a good autofocus. Its small, partially due to the fact that it uses smart media cards and only 2 AA batteries. The screen is sharp and detailed, the menus are easy ...
Pros: Reliable camera, with excellent resolution. Video snips are cute. Cons: No software for Mac, to hard for the "beginner", shaky when zooming
I recently purchased this camera for home/work use. Working at a newspaper means that you need to have a reliable camera, which will take quality shots. I believe I got just that. With its easy to decipher options, and variety of image capabilities, I ...
Pros: Sharp, clear images Cons: Battery life is TERRIBLE and so is the video portion of the camera
We bought the camera...a Samsung Digimax 420...at Walmart a few years ago. We paid a little over $200 for it. It is our first digital camera and it really takes nice pictures! There are a few things we don't like about it but the good outweighs the ...
Pros: Great picture quality, ease of use Cons: Random shut-off, short battery life
I really like this camera for picture quality and ease of use. However, I've experienced some of the same problems mentioned by others -- the camera randomly shuts off at times and can be nearly impossible to turn back on. Sometimes toggling the power ...
Good camera for the price! by mommy2jada ,Apr 27 '04
Pros: Cheap, good picture quality, easy to use Cons: If you use alkaline batteries this camera will eat them up, use lithium batteries!
I only paid $250.00 for this camera and to be honest it was worth it!
Everyone complains about the battery life and it is true that if you use standard alkaline batteries the camera will eat them up. However I called Samsung's tech support and they said to use a lithium battery, well ever since I made the switch (I now use Energizer E2 Photo batteries) they have lasted along time!!
I think the picture quality is good and is the ease of use.
If you are looking for a good camera to take everyday photos I recommend this one!
Pros: Cheap, good indoor (with flash) pics, easy to use Cons: Very poor alkaline battery life. Picture quality very disappointing, plastic casing
Sturdy feel for a plastic case. Overall conception designed for people who want to take photos easily. I previously owned a Fuji 3.2 mega pixel camera and to be honest the picture quality was infinately better. But then again this is a cheap camera. I paid around $220 for it in Switzerland. It comes with 16 Mb memory, although this is internal so be prepared to add a few more bucks for an SD card. Indoorpics taken with flash are curiously of better quality than those taken without one outside !
I bought this camera after reading good reviews, and have been so disappointed. After enduring it for over a year I am finally buying a new one.
The shutter lag (time from when you press the shutter button to the time it actually takes the pic) is very slow! I have a 2 year old and by the time the picture actually takes, she is doing something else.
This camera is also very slow to load when you turn on, and even slower to load between pics.
Don't bother trying to take a picture without the flash. No matter what the lighting, if you don't use the flash, your picture will be blurry
The worst part is the battery life. I have tried every battery imaginable and after maybe 10 pictures and an upload to the computer, the batteries are dead.
Not sure if its just my camera or not, but sometimes the stupid thing will not turn on right away, and even shut off while I am taking pics
Sooooo not worth it. invest in a better quality camera!
