Pros: Nice paper weight!! Cons: Clogs easily, does not suck!!
When my old Hoover finally died, I had to replace my vacuum and quick. That was six months ago. I bought the Shark, mostly because it was bag free and came with a cute little hand held (the handle cracked and broke after the third use). I paid around ...
My husband and I bought this vacuum cleaner about 10 months ago from Target before doing any research. Boy, are we sorry!!! It was a huge waste of $100.00. I have owned several vacuum cleaners and have never been so unhappy with a machine. From the ...
Pros: It has a nice looking body Cons: It doesn't work. It shuts down and takes forever to start again.
We bought a Shark Roadster upright vacuum cleaner about 4 months ago. We had nothing but trouble with it since. It cleans only for about 5-10 minutes long and than it shuts down for about 20 minutes or so. We have a regular 3 bedroom home but it takes us ...
Pros: Has a pull-out wand for easy attachment of tools Cons: Everything else
I have a similar story and rating as the other poor souls. I needed a vacuum and this was on sale -- cheap. Instead of shelling out $50 extra bucks for the vacuum I had researched, I went for the perceived bargain and came home with this wretched ...
Pros: Suction Power Cons: It can suck up the carpet fibers.
I do not now what everyone is complaining about. I've had the unit for 5 years, and I never experienced the unit shutting down. I would compare this unit to a dyson, for 1/2 the cost. The unit picks up everything. I may be a little anal, and clean out the main filter after vacuuming the entire house; however, I do not want to leave the waste in the unit.
The Shark Sucks! That's Not a Compliment~ by rkinch35 ,Dec 19 '04
Pros: Can't find any! (Don't need a paper weight.) Cons: Poor suction, frustrating automatic shut-off system!
We had this model and canned it for the same reasons as the first reviewer. Doesn't suck well, quits in less than ten minutes and is very difficult to put back together after cleaning. So, like dummies, we went out and bought another Shark, the Spectra, thinking that maybe a bagged vacuum would work better. Guess what? It has all the same features of the bagless version: Doesn't suck, quits when it gets tired (5-10 minutes) and is a worthless piece of @%$%! Sorry!
Trust me, we are not going out to buy another Shark but may make up stickers to put on any Sharks I see in the store to warn consumers away.
Pros: Impressed with suction and dirt pick up from bare floors and carpets of varying heights. Cons: Requires frequent emptying and filter cleaning.
I took my brother's advice and bought as economical vacuum cleaner as I thought would meet my needs. Works great - I was amazed how much dirt/lint/etcetera it picked up in such a short time. Easy to empty, easy to clean the filters, although somewhat of a nusaince, easy to reassemble, and replacement filters are not that expensive. Looking for another one for my son's new apartment, which led me to this review, but it looks like this model has been discontinued.
Pros: light, doesn't take a lot of storage space Cons: performance is awful, doesn't work well on carpets
I bought it a year ago without a lot of research. It advertized 12 amp power, was very light and good size for storage.
After a year, vacuuming is the worst chore around our house. It just doesn't work on carpets. You have to go over the same spot 20 times. It works ok of bare floors, but not carpets. I'm buying a real vacuum this month!
