Panasonic TH-50PHD5UY 50 in. TV

Pros: True HD. Relatively easy to mount if you are handy.
Cons: None, really. Prices are much more affordable than when I bought mine.

Just bought it (July 2003) from VisualApex.com. I recommend them. Unit is double boxed to help prevent shipping damage. I went with a simple wall mount bracket for $175. This unit has BNC connectors, so you will have to get BNC to RCA type adapters ...

Pros: High quality product. Good warranty. Easy install. Allows extra inputs to be bought
Cons: Remote is kinda hokey looking

I've had the TV for 2 months and love it. The picture is awesome. Easy directions to hook up. Had professional install it over the fireplace. Haven't had any problems with the TV or the picture. HDTV and DVDs look great on it. Well worth the investment. Would recommend buying an extra component input so you can hook a HD receiver and DVD up to the TV at the same time.

Pros: Great picture...great color on HDTV channels and movie channels...Really spectacular.
Cons: No DVI...Very important function missing.

...The 50" Panasonic Plasma HDTV monitor model 50PHD6UY that I purchased on-line for Monitor Outlet.com was a "commercial model" that did not have a DVI (Digital Video Input). Without this you cannot have digital quality DVDs no matter how great your DVD player is! I was not told the model did not have a DVI although I did tell the salesman I wanted the new Plasma in part for high quality movies that we loved to watch just about every weekend.
I believe I should have been told this monitor did not have a DVI so I could buy a unit that did!!
