Pros: It works and has more features than I'll ever use. Cons: I've worn the print off one button.
I have bad luck with telephones. I am beginning to think it isn't luck and may not be me. Some of my worst sound quality conversations are when I am on the phone with the phone company. Of course, I could rant and rave about the quality of service ...
Pros: A gadzillion options. Cons: Quirky, unreliable, and the worst customer service ever.
We moved into a house more than double the size of our old house, not to mention having a garage. Not every space in the house had a phone jack, presenting a challenge. Then there was the problem with our wireless network and wireless alarm system. ...
Pros: good sound quality, good price, good features Cons: some annoyances
I had used Uniden 2.4 GHZ cordless phone for a couple of years and loved it. However, I'm constantly bothered by its interference with my wireless computer network. I thought to buy a 5.8 GHZ phone for quite a while but they're just too expensive. ...
Pros: Great sound quality and range; extensive features. Cons: Small keys on the base unit; no universal delete for caller ID.
This is one of the best technology systems of any kind I have ever purchased. When comparing the various brands available at Circuit City, it was clear that the build quality of the Uniden was the best. I love the solid feel of the handsets and the ...
Pros: Looks cool, great sound quality, easy to enter phone numbers Cons: Would like more ringtones to choose from. 20 seems like a lot - it's not.
This phone does everything you need and then some. We live in a 3 story rowhouse (think brownstone for those not from Philly) and the reception is terrific. My wife and I use the intercom feature regularly as it beats yelling up 3 flights of stairs. ...
Pros: loads of features, only 1 phone jack required, superb clarity Cons: fairly expensive compared to other phones, programming can be a bit confusing
INTRO I just recently moved into a fairly large house and needed to get a decent phone system. I was primarily interested in the 5.8GHz cordless phones since they don't interfere with wireless computer networks. I also wanted a very high quality ...
Pros: voice quality, speaker-phone on each handset Cons: limitations on phone directory entries (20 digits), and speed-dial capability
So far I am mostly happy with this phone. I bought it based on reviews here and on other sites. The sound quality is very good, with no noticeable interference so far. Caller ID on all of the handsets is a useful feature. The caller ID list is local ...
Pros: Easy to read display and very feature rich. Cons: Range.
Uniden has always made decent portables. This phone is no exception. I will say that I was expecting more range from the "PowerMax 5.8." I live on a second-floor apartment and cannot travel outdoors very far without the signal breaking up. ...
Pros: Great sound quality, excellent usability, well engineered, shared or separate phonebooks, nice display, very customizable. Cons: A little pricey
Original review: 8/12/04 I finally decided to quit fighting with my 3 incompatible and sometimes poorly-designed cordless phones and get an integrated cordless-phone 'system'. I had an older 900-MHz Uniden, which provided solid sound quality and ...
Pros: Great sound quality for base and handsets.
Easy setup
Nice displays Cons: Too many keystrokes for intercom
Keys and text on base too small
My choice was to trash a huge investment in a Siemens 2.4ghz multi-phone system or have my family kick me out of the house. So I did the research and decided to take a chance on the Uniden when I saw it advertised at Office Max for about $120 (Base and ...
Pros: walkie-talkie feature, baby monitor,direct-link mode size of handsets cost of system. Cons: hard to locate buttons on the base unit
i purchased this system from costco it came with 3 handsets a base unit, and a headset. i was looking for a great 5.8 ghz answering system i was leaning toward the panasonic system but because of the cost and the number of handsets (the panasonic only ...
Pros: Sturdy construction, rich feature set, no network interference, orange backlight, shared phonebook, adequate range
Cons: Inability to globally clear CID. Lack of VM memory not an issue for me.
I'm posting to hopefully help others who have this problem with the TRU8885 system (and possibly other Uniden models). I could not find this solution in the user manual or on the net. I recently purchased a 2 handset system from Ebay. Factory ...
Everything you could want in a cordless phone by davebenham ,Jun 28 '05
Pros: Sound quality and speakerphone sound clarity both excellent. Expandable Cons: Wall mounting is difficult.
Sound quality is awesome. Haven't had any reception problems, but I haven't really pushed the phone too far outside of my backyard.
The answering machine is accessible from any handset. Handsets also double as intercoms, although the speakerphone setting is not available when doing this. Handsets can also use the units as room monitors.
The interface for programming the phone is adequate. At times I get lost or confused, but not for too long. When checking the answering machine from the handsets, functions (such as deleting or skipping a message) are difficult to figure out.
Superb phone - best I've ever owned by jonahbca ,Mar 14 '05
Pros: Great reception and sound quality. Total integration between phones. Cons: Needs better ring tones. For me only three of them are not annoying.
I love this phone! The reception is great and the sound quality is excellent. Talking on this phone is uniquely pleasant. The features this thing has continues to astound me. I've already used the room monitor and the DirectLink (walkie-talkie) features in our new home to help me work on plumbing, networking and electrical issues with a partner. Great handset feel. Check the answering machine from any handset. Speaker phone sounds very good. I can't recommend this phone enough.
Pros: Rugged handsets, sound clarity good Cons: The phone should not die when power is cut off.
Folks, I purchased this 3 handset cordless system 6 months ago. Worked fine until the day I cut power to the house to perform some minor electrical work. Power was off for 10 minutes, and when power came back on line, the answering machine display showed "E4". Read the manual and performed a reset to no avail the phone system was fried. I called Uniden and they conformed that the phone was prone to electrical disruptions. They offered to repair or replace, but I had to wait 3 weeks. Fortunately I purchased the phone at Costco and they took it back for full refund without question.
