Home to the most exciting 25 seconds in college football
by nasink07 ,Nov 15 '04
Pros: Noise of crowd, The Hill, Most exciting 25 seconds in college football
Cons: Traffic and parking
Death Valley isn't just a stadium to some Clemson fans it their home away from home. I have been going to the home games since I was about 5 years old and I remember it being one of the loudest stadiums I have been too. Though some people have to walk a long ways to get to the stadium, if you join IPTAY you can get reserved parking for the games. The Hill is were you can fit as many people as you can all you have to pay is 5 dollars. The players run down the hill right before the game and leaves the away team in awe of the stadium's greatness. Soon to happen to the West Endzone of the Death Valley, is an expansion to it. It will include press boxes, diners, and rooms for executives. After the game the traffic can be a little harsh but other than that, Death Valley is the greatest stadium of the ACC conference

Loud, Loud. Loud
by teebomus ,Jun 27 '06
Pros: LOUD,LOUD,LOUD, beautiful stadium, tailgating is first class, these fans know football,
Cons: traffic, no others
Beautiful place to watch football. Have been going since I was 8 years old and it is loudest place I have ever been..period. Fans take pride in the volume they can create and have an impact on the games outcome. The NCAA noise violation put in place in the 1980's was initiated by complaints about this stadium's noise level by visiting coaches.
Last years game vs. Miami, a triple overtime thriller, sounded like an F-16 was flying overhead. Seats about 82,000, has had 86,000 in it. There are bigger stadiums and some that may have more of a national reputation for noise, but ask visiting players who have played in the Swamp, the other Death Valley , The Big House, at UT, etc. and they generally agree that CU' Death Valley is the loudest. It sits in a valley like a bowl and the noise has nowhere to go. Traffic is tough on game day since Clemson is a town of about 15,000. Have to witness Death valley to get it. Also, players running Down the Hill will give you chills.
