Pros: Outstanding anchors and commentators, well-packaged information, informative interviews Cons: Too much cute banter
Forget the soaps. Forget prime time. CNBC is the place to see the prettiest faces and best-sculpted bodies on television. Male or female, the large cast of anchors and commentators positively sparkle. Young males give their commentary in shirt...

Pros: It's like free money Cons: All those ticker symbols to learn
I'm lucky enough to have a television and cable in my office at work. Of all the channels I could have it on all day, I choose CNBC. It's great!
CNBC keeps you informed of any and all business related news throughout the day. With in depth...

Pros: Professional, Informative, Great Guests, Insightful Cons: Commercialized to an extent
Bloomberg, CNNfn, CNBC, FOX financial news? Exactly which one is better?
That is a difficult question. But seeing that Bloomberg is only shown at certain times during the day on land cable versus satellite programming, which has Bloomberg TV...

Pros: Indepth market coverage Cons: May require sattelite dish.
CNBC is a channel that I get with my Directv satellite dish. It is a channel that focuses on the stock market for most of the day, and then turns to politics after about 6:30 central standard time.Market news and coverage starts at 4 AM central time with...

Pros: Talented lineup of people Cons: Can be a bit overwhelming with information for some viewers
CNBC is pretty much the leader in business news. Bloomberg, CNNfn and others pale in comparison.
First off, the business portion of CNBC starts from very early morning from 5am EST to 8pm EST. During that time, CNBC has a continuous real...

Pros: Lots of business news Cons: Ticker is 20 minutes delayed
They say if you watch CNBC during the trading day to keep the sound turned down. The reasoning behind this is that the analysts and talking heads do not give you any useful information. I say you should be able to tell the difference between news and...

Pros: Consistent disclosures about commentators' track records and/or holdings Cons: Subtle crony-ism (is that a word?) and redundant commercials (Ameritrade, enough already!)
I have no quarrel with any of the opinions so far, but it seems to me that the daytime, stock-market coverage versus the night-time "News" formats are almost two completely different creatures. A distinction should be made - I can really only...

Pros: Well Organized and extremely professional. Cons: I wish it were 24 hour business channel
My parents have put alot of money into stocks lately and have urged me to keep tracking these stocks that I hold in my name. Searching through the internet about latest news for companies and activity in the stock market is an effective medium, but CNBC...

Pros: I think this is the thinking person's TV channel, when compared and contrasted to all others. Cons: Don't they have infomercials all day Sunday? They used to, anyway. What a waste of tv time.
This epinion would have been much more fresh and topical last Spring, but for what it's worth tonight...Chris Matthews (who I love) is on Larry King Live, (who I now tolerate, at best)- so I am inspired.
I don't watch much TV anymore, which is...

Pros: Heavy emphasis on stocks of the day. Cons: Primarily stock driven programming.
I used to be an avid watcher of CNBC during the bull market of 1999, when I invested most of my hard earned money into individual stocks, mostly in the tech sector, as this is where CNBC said was the place to be, the sector where they had most of their...

Pros: some good news coverage Cons: produced and hosted by adolescent adults
Less and less do I surf to CNBC. For the most part it is news and topic coverage at about its worse. Chris Matthews is a rude bulldog. I wish he would grow up and act like an adult.
Geraldo Rivera and Charles Grodin were wildly bias in...

Pros: Personalities, charts, web site, depth of reporting Cons: Consuela Mack, Geraldo
I know what a lot of people think of when they think financial tv. Boring, slow, over my head, and who the h*ll cares would be just a few of the adjectives. CNBC does a very good job of making sure none of these adjectives are actually true. The show...
