Pros: The reruns and The return of Ren & Stimpy!! Cons: Great shows were cancelled, now only has brain dead shows
You see, I was a big fan of Nick for about 8 years. My favorite shows were always Ren & Stimpy,Double Dare, and Rugrats. I watched every program on Nick and enjoyed it. The happy times crashed to a hault when they cancelled Ren & Stimpy. I was...

Pros: Nick Jr. is great for the little ones. Cons: Not impressed by their school-aged programming AT ALL.
When I was on maternity leave after giving birth to my first son, I used to tune into Nickelodeon during the mornings as a respite to the otherwise mind numbing selection of talk shows and soaps.
I quickly fell in love with their daytime Nick Jr....

Pros: daytime shows Cons: no old kids classics, Nick at Night has become really bad
Well, I loved it as a kid, and I still like a lot of the cartoons on this channel. For example, Ren and Stimpy started here (although I don't think it is a kid's place) as did Rocko's Modern Life, and Sponge Bob Square Pants. There are a lot of classics,...

Pros: Blues Clues, Nick-At-Nite Cons: Rugrats
Children's programmimg? There are a great number of animated shows daily on Nickelodeon geared towards children. Blue's Clues, Franklin, Doug -- my son likes these shows & that's fine with me. They are educational, non-violent, and do not teach...

Pros: Good daytime choices Cons: The evening shows are horrid!
There are some shows on Nickelodeon that I allow children I baby-sit to watch with no qualms. Shows such as Blue's Clues, Little Bear, and Franklin. However, after Nick Jr. afternoons end the channel takes a drastic turn for the worst. I truly am...

Pros: Some of the best television shows in history Cons: Some of the shows they air are barely ten years old. It would be like playing REM on the golden-oldies station. They're classic, but not of the same generation. Eventually, but not yet. You know?
Four years ago, I would have given this station 5 starts. 6, even.
I used to be obsessed with Nick at Nite. I had the books, the board games, and even the one-time 10 year anniversary issue of Nick at Nite Magazine, with the little silver...

Pros: Great Preschool shows, great late night tv, good teen shows. Cons: Some of the pre/teen shows are a bit rude.
I have tuned into Nick since I was young, when it first started. I like the focus for kids, it has remained focused on it's goal of being for kids. I also like the addition of Nick at Night with all of the old programming. Especially it's daytime...

Pros: Nick Jr, classics re-runs Cons: Bad new shows, "90's" shows
Nickelodeon was once a very good network. The programming was good, educational, and fun to watch. The cartoons were great too. Now, every new show that comes out seems to be absolutely horrid. Sponge Bob Square Pants for instance. What are they...

Pros: BLUES CLUES Cons: Almost all the shows
Nickelodeon used to be on all the time in our house...my daughter just loved their shows..and even if she wasn't watching it, she liked to listen to it as she played.
But now she has come to like Disney channel more than Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon...

Pros: Still some good shows left! Cons: Gotta hunt for the good shows.
I had seen Nickelodeon back when it seemed it had six shows, and would show them over and over and over. Shows like You Can't Do That on Television was fresh and funny, and the network suddenly turned getting green goop poured on you from laughable to...

Pros: some entertainment value Cons: too much negative portrayal of parents, school and teachers.
Nickelodeon has been around for a long time now. It has tv shows for children, it has Nick Jr for little ones, it has teen nick and it even has Nick at Night for adults who want to watch the older television shows. I have to admit that when I was ...

Pros: Ok shows. Cons: Second rate shows.
I remember when I watched Nick, I thought the programs were good, but now all they are all dumb, pointless twenty minute shows. All of the cartoons are all second rate drawings and the things they say are all corney. Its like they have run out of things...

Pros: Trying hard to get the viewers to interact Cons: Seemingly trying to persuade viewers to jump on certain bandwagons as best as possible and too much shameless plugging
In recent years, it has seemingly become more and more evident that Nickelodeon getting very deeply involved with numerous current trends, fads, a heavy amount of advertising, and showing major signs of self-indulgence (not to mention, seemingly bowing...

Pros: They have millions watching every day. Cons: The shows don't relate to children AND parents anymore.
I must admit, I was the biggest Nick fan in the world in the early nineties, but now I won't watch it for a minute. I just can't stand these shows. I know this channel is meant for young children, but before parents and children could sit down and watch...

Pros: Some entertaining shows that children and adults can both enjoy Cons: Constantly canceling the shows that made it great
I remember growing up watching Nickelodeon. You couldn't keep me away from the television when Snick (the Saturday night programming) was on. Such classic shows as Space Cases, Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Clarissa Explains It...
