Pros: Attentive service in First Class Cons: Cleanliness was less than perfect, no alcohol on some flights, food
Our flight on EgyptAir was short and not unpleasant. I would, however, be less than likely to choose them again, especially for a long flight. We had been offered the choice of EgyptAir or Olympic for our short flight from Cairo to...
Pros: Good Airfleet, Friendly Service, European & Mideast Network Cons: Lack of US Flights, Food
I have always been fascinated by the culture in the Arabian world. For years, I have been visiting Israel, but have no visited other Middle Eastern countries. Egypt is considered to be a very spectacular country with rich history. So I figured that a ...
Pros: 777 seating is oh so comfortable Cons: the smoke, belligerent flight attendants, bad food, inept checkin
There I was, off to the land of pharoahs, pyramids and baksheesh for two weeks on business. And, thanks to the generosity of my clients, I was flying EgyptAir. Business class. On a fully paid ticket. Brand new 777.
I just got back from a trip to Egypt where we flew with EgyptAir three times. After seeing the chaos of the Cairo's taxi and bus system, I admit I was a bit hesitant to see their planes, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Their float of planes is...
Pros: My flight arrived safely at its destination. Cons: Old planes, no air conditioning, limited service, cigarette smoking throughout flight.
When I visited Egypt on an Insight tour, we had a choice of flying from Cairo to our nile cruise destination or taking the train. At the time, I thought it would be safer to take the plane because I had read about terrorist activities along the train...
Pros: on-time flights and friendly crews Cons: meals stink!
I have flown on Egypt Air many times and I love it!!! I have had nothing but good experiences every time I've boarded one of their air crafts! The hierogliphic decor is charming, the flight crews are always friendly, and if you ask the Captain, 9 times...
I have to admit, when I went to Egypt two years ago, and heard we were flying Egypt Air, I was a little nervous. I have to say that it was one of the most clean, roomy, and friendly airline that I have ever flown, and I have flown a lot. I especially...
Pros: Modern planes, great stopover opportunity in cairo. Cons: Transit not exactly smooth. Fellow passengers will travel with LOTS of hand-luggage.
Why people think Egypt air is a mediocre airline?Egypt is a wonderful country to visit. But all visitors have to admit to one thing, it doesn't always run smooth. So Egypt air as the country's flag carrier is generally inmagined to ...
Pros: ROOMY Planes, Friendly Flight Crew, Great inflight status Display..FUN! Cons: Smoking flights. COUGH..COUGH..COUGH and indigestion and gas from meals
INTRODUCTION
Recently, My family had the opportunity to travel Egypt Air on an excursion to Egypt. I had heard many things about this famous airline and was anxious to try it!
Pros: Brand new planes, friendly service, punctual and comfortable Cons: Cairo International Airport is an utter dump.
Okay, I admit it. I flew Egyptair because it was cheap and going my way. Now I have been converted!! I flew Egyptair four times (Sydney to Cairo, Cairo to Istanbul, Athens to Cairo and Cairo to Sydney) and thoroughly enjoyed each trip. The new A340s and...
Pros: Friendly service Cons: ONly goes to the Middle East
The person claiming to have been held at knife point by a hijacker is not being honest! This airline has never had a terrorist hijacking and has very little problems when it comes to crime in the skies. It is one of the Middle East's most popular and...
Pros: One of the few airlines with Egyptian destinations Cons: Delays; baggage handling on internal flights
I took my daughter and husband to Egypt for a family vacation in February 2000 and found Egypt Air to be as good as most any other airline. We were on both short-haul international flights from Europe and internal flights. Granted, there were delays on...
In the aftermath of the recent tragedy , EgyptAir crash, few thoughts come to mind.
1.To utter"Tawakalto ala Allah" is by no means a prayer before death. It is simply a way of talk that most Egyptians use before embarking on an important...
Pros: Flight was okeh. Food was okeh to good. Cons: EgyptAir doesn't honor the dates on its own tickets, The personnel is impolite.
I will avoid EgyptAir at all costs. About two days before my first flight, I got an e-mail from my travel agent that the flight date was changed. The changed ticket got to me just in time. On the return flight, things were worse: I was not ...
Pros: Clean, excellent service, on time Cons: Moslem prayer in the begining of the flight which is very annoying.
I have visited Egypt many times for business trips, I have no doubt that Egypt Air is one of the best Air lines in the world. Plane always super clean, staff and service are always excellent, always on time and very safe. I have used other airlines to...
Here is a warning about buying a ticket with Egyptair. If there is the slightest chance that you cannot make the flight then be prepared for a long, long wait for a refund. I purchased a ticket for my fiance and when she was unable to fly I got the...
Pros: Good Food, Great Staff, Good Food Cons: Too Many Connections
I found that Egypt Air was a very good airline because of many reasons. First of all, the flights are always on time and over the many times that I have flown with this airline, it has never been late. Secondly, the staff is very cordial and will do...
Pros: we eventually arrived Cons: lack of customer service
I flew Egypt Air JFK to Cairo summer 06. It was easily my worst flight experience. The employees at the boarding gate were rude and yelling at passengers. The flight attendants were non-attentive and would not give us enough water (each time they will fill it 1/2 way). Given the flight was delayed 2 hours on the tarmac, and at this time due to new regulations no one could bring water on board, this was torture. The food is also barely edible.
Egypt Air - much better than expected by pete078 ,Feb 17 '07
Pros: Clean planes, good service, good food. Cons: None
In Feb 2007 I flew from Frankfurt to Cairo and back (business class) and from Cairo to Luxor and back (cabin class). On time for all legs. Very clean planes and very good sevice. The business class fare was only about $100 more than cabin class fare on Lufthansa. I would gladly fly Egypt Air again.
Two missed connections thanks to Egypt Air by dhb-epinion ,Oct 29 '09
Pros: Staff were generally friendly. Cons: Planes were old. Staff were either incompetent or indifferent and very inflexible.
Had tickets from London to Sharm el Sheikh via Cairo. In London Egypt Air checked us through to Sharm and issued boarding passes for Cairo. From Sharm they would not book us through to London. One hour 45 minutes between flights in Cairo should have been plenty but despite priority tags on our luggage they were some of the last to be unloaded. Still we got through security to the check-in 40 mins before flight time only to be told the flight was already closed. The same thing happened to two couples on a flight from Aswan. (we suspect Egypt Air had resold our seats.) Later the departure showed our flight left 96 minutes late! ... We bought a flight to Vancouver via New York to replace a flight we could no longer make in London. Egypt Air issued a ticket with one hour 55 minutes between flights at JFK. We said this was too little time but they insisted it would be OK and if not their New York office would take care of us. Inevitably we missed the connection only to find the Egypt Air office was closed for the day.
