Pros: Great service, activities Cons: Poor entertainment
My wife and I had been on two other Royal Caribbean ships, and we chose the Monarch for our third cruise based on the itinerary. We were not disappointed, despite the fact that the Monarch is one of RCCL's older and smaller ships.
Pros: Large enough to not seem crowded, even on a full cruise. Cons: Cabins are small, but adequate!
We recently went on the Monarch from 12/20-12/24 2001. Our cruise experience was no less than awesome. We had a category F stateroom on the promenade deck, and although small was more than adequate. There was no refrigerator or safe in the room, but the...
Pros: spending time with family Cons: toilets, sinks, poor food quality, poor customer service
I have been on this ship 5 times now. This 3 day cruise is appealing because of its location in L.A. In 2007 did it 2 x ,once with parents and sister and kids/ was pretty good , no upgrades, service was ok, food was lacking in greatness I went ...
My Mom and my Grandma took me on this cruise to celebrate graduating from college. This was my second cruise. We did the 4-night Baja that stopped in San Diego, Catalina Island, & Ensenada. Our Room: All 3 of us shared an ocean ...
Pros: food, service, clean, Cons: small inside rooms
This cruise was terrific in all aspects. We went in July. My husband and I went on this trip with another couple and we range in age from 28-34. I felt the cruise had an excellent blend of age groups- young couples, honeymooners, families, and older...
Pros: Main dinner was great- good service Cons: Poor buffet, low budget shows, smelly ship
A last minute decision for my husband and I. We decided a week before our cruise to join our 4 friends on what we thought would be a blast. Not the case. The ship that was clearly outdated (built in 1991,) was overcrowded and smelled of urine. That's...
Royal Caribbean's Monarch Of The Seas provided my new wife and I with the perfect honeymoon. We sailed 8/26/01-09/02/01. The bliss began at the San Juan Airport. We never saw our baggage until it appeared outside our stateroom at 3:00pm Sun. afternoon....
Pros: Great staff, beautiful decor, wonderful food Cons: none
My husband and I had never been on a cruise before, and after doing research, we decided to go on a 7 day cruise with Royal Caribbean for our 25th wedding anniversary. What a delightful time we had!!
Pros: people you meet Cons: old decor, food less desirable, undesirable staff
My husband and I cruised on this ship for our honeymoon last August (1999).The cost was approximately 1300 per person (includes air). We had indoor staterooms. After having been on two previous cruises, first one on Carnival Celebration, second on RC...
Pros: the food, atmosphere, and service Cons: that i couldn't stay longer
The Royal Caribbean Monarch of the seas cruise was the greatest vacation of my life. Me and my family left on a rainy day and i was concerned that the cruise would not be as exciting. I was proved wrong the minute i got on the boat. I was never on a...
Pros: the ship, food, islands, service Cons: Martinique
I took this cruise with my husband in November '98. This was my third cruise and his first. We had the dream honeymoon. The islands were beautiful, the ship was elegant, the service was great and the food was amazing. This ship was very clean and the...
Its is a fantasy vacation all the way. Crew was extremly nice and helpful in every capacity, the entertainment was spectacular and very entertaining. The food and excursions, and port calls were great! Let me re-emphisize the food!! Next time I would...
Pros: An experience of a lifetime Cons: enjoy!!!!!
Oh yes, The beautiful Monarch of The Seas. One of the best ships on the Royal Caribbean. I went on this cruise with a good friend of mine who treated me to this vacation which was the Best vacation I have had in my life so far & I will for sure go...
If you are looking for a truly SPECTACULAR vacation - consider Royal Caribbean, but specifically Monarch of the Seas. From the moment we stepped on the ship to the end of our 7 days, we were treated like royalty!! The ship is a vacation in and of...
Pros: Good entertainment, Lovely boat Cons: Not alot of exciting activities, not enough food, ship crew seemed a bit sad.
This was my second cruise. It was for a wedding party so through their travel agent it only cost $400 per person. We got to the ship with absolutely no traffic, although the port was definitely hard to find. On the boat we check out the rooms which ...
