Pros: Everything, the hotel, the food, the women, the fun!! Cons: Very Expensive place... Atleast $400 a night just for the room. Include about another $1000 just for expenses on food and beer.
This past summer I went to Nassau, Bahamas with my aunt for vacation. I flew down on Delta Airlines and arrived at the airport at around 1:30 pm. It was very hot and humid, but still very nice! My aunt was staying at the Atlantis hotel, the brand new...

Pros: Tropical Paradise, all inclusive resorts Cons: People downtown wanting to give you a tour for a tip
My husband and I visited Nassau in May of 2000. We stayed at the Superclubs Breezes resort, which was a wonderful place. It is a large all inclusive resort on Cable Beach, right down the road from the Marriott and Raddison and all of the really really...

Pros: No agendas or itineraries necessary; warm water; lots of sun; friendly folks Cons: Very limited night life outside of the hotels; overpriced food; hostile to vegetarians
My partner and I went to the Bahamas with one purpose on our minds: escape. And we were able to do that with ease.
Unlike other vacation destinations which include a short or long list of "must see" items, Nassau is the destination. And...

Pros: Beautiful Beaches, Great Fun Cons: Expensive
My husband and I went to the Bahamas and stayed on cable beach. Cable Beach is not as exclusive as the beaches on Paradise Island, but it is a beautiful beach. If you are traveling on a limited budget, you can get a beach front room on Cable Beach for...

Pros: Very pretty islands, extremely friendly natives Cons: Excruciatingly expensive, not much to do
My better half and I spent the last week of April 2001 in Nassau and Paradise Island, Bahamas. We were very excited about this trip and spent a lot of time planning and researching. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed by what New Providence and...

Pros: Its all here... no need to leave the grounds... Cons: NONE
My husband and I recently received a 3 night 4 day long awaited "honeymoon" to the Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Pros: secluded beach, friendly staff, excellent value for money spent Cons: if nightlife is important, go off-resort
My husband & I spent our honeymoon (July 1998) at the all-inclusive Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and it was worth every penny we worked tirelessly to save.
FOOD - For the most part the food was outstanding, the only exception being...

Pros: An amazing resort to go to for any age! Cons: Very expensive, poor hotel management, out of the 25 restaurants advertised, only 10 were actually open!
The Atlantis...so is it really paradise?
Tricky question. Picture if you will this "mega resort" teeming endlessly into the sky and think, like we did... "this is going to be a great vacation!" And it was...with some...

Pros: beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, casinos, shopping, scooters, swimming with dolphins Cons: summer might be hot, crowded, haggling
My family is from South Florida and we regularly visit the Bahamas for mini-vacations. I love going to Nassau. The duty-free shopping people are always talking about isn't worth while, don't bother buying though browsing can be fun.
What I...

Pros: Atlantis, good restaurants Cons: Liquor, American teenagers who like liquor
Review Topic: Sights & Attractions
First of all, only listen to the tourists that don't mention the Bahamas being a tourist trap. The Bahamas is FAR from a tourist trap, and I believe what these misinformed visitors view as...

Pros: Waters, people, beaches Cons: Traffic, crowds, prices
Nassau has beaches that they put pictures of in tourist books. The waters are pristine, and are filled with colorful plant and animal life.
I went to Nassau in August, 2000. The weather was great, even though it rained a lot late at night,...
