Charming country, fine people Cons: The festival in Hamilton at night offered no local customs or charm.
My wife and I honeymooned on Bermuda over 38 years ago. I had posted an Express Review of that experience a little while back, without knowing my wife was booking a trip there for us. Now that my wife and I revisited, I have current experiences to ...

Pros: Beautiful beaches, architecture, encounter with dolphins Cons: very expensive
Welcome to Bermuda - a lone coral island, just a mere dot in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, a jewel in it's own right, yet only a 1 1/2 hour flight away from the East Coast of the US. Overlooked by many, Bermuda is quite different from the ever...

Pros: Great island, Pink sand and clear water Cons: Vacation was not long enough
I am not putting this one in the section under cruises, because it will not do the justice to the Bermuda itself. About year and a half ago, my wife and I took a cruise on Royal Caribbean Song of America to Bermuda. The ship left from New York and it was...

The island of Bermuda, known for it's pristine pink beaches, crystal clear water, and tasty Rum Swizzles, is about 600 miles east and at the same latitude as South Carolina (not part of the Caribbean as many assume). It's really out in the Atlantic far...

Pros: Beautiful, clean, affluent, diverse Cons: Expensive, no direct flights from Midwest

Pros: Quick Flight from Eastern US Cons: Not a tropical island; not as picturesque as most island destinations; way overpriced

Bermuda has to be one of the most disgustingly nice and even beautiful islands there is. Everything is so charming. The people are very friendly and I would recommend this place for anyone who would like...
Let's just say I'm not an accomplished traveler. I haven't further west than upstate New York. I have left the Northeast part of the United States only a dozen times in my life, though not for a lack of trying.
When Bermuda is listed in vacation magazines and guidebooks, I usually see it awkwardly grouped in the Caribbean section. Looking at a map you can see that Bermuda is far from the warm Caribbean waters located a ways off the coast of the mid-Atlantic...
Pros: Beaches, shopping, social activities Cons: humidity in the summer

Pros: Sheer beauty... better than the Caribbean Cons: Cooler weather
I figure there are so many glowing reviews of Bermuda, I should spend a little time talking about what I didn't like when I was there last March. Believe me, this is going to be a difficult exercise... I loved it there, but I think it's important to...
Pros: A beautiful place to visit, (tropical paradise), moderately priced Cons: You have to leave, if you choose to.
I have been to Bermuda five times now and I never grow tired of it. The island is a few hours off the East Coast (It is less of a distance than traveling from New Jersey to Florida). Bermuda offers a large assortment of activities, however the major...

Pros: Beaches, safe island Cons: Expensive, lack of night life
Just got back from Bermuda. My earlier review on Bermuda(A Cut Above)still stands, but I did notice some subtle changes. We still loved the weather, which was 85 and sunny every day, save for one 30 minute rainstorm. We loved the beaches, which are as...

Bermuda is a beautiful island, but if you are going there to get a"feel for the Caribbean", then try a different island. It is far too affluent to have any resemblance to the other islands I have been to. While the beaches are fine, my...
Pros: Off-Season Nov-Feb Manageable on a budget Cons: The only Con is that our trip had to end!
Just returned from a short stay in Bermuda. Celebrating 10 years of marriage and we could not have chosen a more perfect location. Grape Bay Beach Hotel ( formerly White Sands Hotel)in Paget parish was exceptional. Everyone we encountered on our vacation was polite, helpful and a pleasure to talk with. Crystal Caves is a must and just around the corner is the Rum Swizzle Inn..try the famous Bermudian cocktail.. you won't regret it. (Eat upstairs, outside)The buses are the only way to travel if you are on a budget. 3 day pass/$23.00 includes ferry service as well.
Take in the beaches at Church Bay and Horseshoe Bay and Stonehole Bay..pink sand abounds. What else can I say..no pollution..very little crime..amazing people, great history..high literacy rate Go to Bermuda..Go Often!
Pros: Weather, abundance of activities Cons: Can be mucho $$$$
This was one of the best times I have ever had. We took a 1 week Princess cruise in August. We rented a moped, and cruised the island. The entire time we were there, the sky was clear blue. Snorkeling is especially great here, since the coral reef makes it very difficult for sharks to enter the bay. The pink beaches are truly one of the most beautiful sites ever. The water was like bath water - 90 degrees at least, being it was August. The fish we saw when snorkeling were amazing, and seemed to be totally unafraid of people, so we had plenty of underwater shots up close and personal.
A kayak tour was a great thing to do a workout and a tons of fun as we learned about Bermudas ecosystem. We also toured the perfumery on the island, as well as learned a lot of history about settler and ship wrecks. In St. George, we went to a festival where we watch a reenactment of someone walking the plank.
This trip was just the 2 of us, but I could see Bermuda being totally kid-friendly, albeit expensive.
