Pros: The buildings were so old and rich in our countries history. Cons: It was late at the park and the swan boats were not in service.
Boston - Review by Leslie Watson (eider@barrow.com)
August 23rd, 2002 - Boston, Massachusetts
We arrived late afternoon, but it seemed like morning to us because we flew the red eye from Anchorage to Seattle and only...

Pros: Historic and scenic Cons: The ROADS!
This summer, our family went to Boston for our annual vacation. We had made the majority of our plans in advance, and knew pretty much where we wanted to go when we arrived. Below are listed some reviews of the areas and items we contacted in Boston....

Pros: historic, charming, great bars and restaurants, much to do Cons: expensive, cold in winter
....she said no. So goes the song, one of many that has included this lovely city in the lyrics. Why would someone say no to coming to Boston? The only reasons I can fathom are (1) It's very expensive - almost as bad as New York, or (2) It gets damn...

Pros: History, beauty, and nice people. Cons: Price, and driving.
For some people, Boston is the perfect city to visit. I am one of those people. If you are a baseball fan, history buff, or anywhere in between; Boston is for you. The best aspects of Boston lie in history. The Freedom Trail is a fantastic ...

Pros: Hitsory, Duck Tours, Dinner in Little Italy, getting from airport Cons: Getting Around, Attitude of People
I traveled to Boston in early September. It was part business and part pleasure (my company paid for my husband to join me on weekends). I spent 3 weeks there. During the week I stayed in Boston 'proper', on weekends we ventured out.
First...

Pros: very conveniently located Cons: it would be cheaper to stay on someone's sofa bed
If you are coming to Boston and don’t want to stay at one of the big hotels or if you live here and your relatives refuse to visit if they have to spend another night on your sofa bed, have I got a place for you. John Jeffries House on Mugar Way is...

Pros: Very vital and active place, always something to do Cons: under construction at the moment
The water's dirty (but getting a little cleaner), voices carry, getting out of the city is just what is needed a lot of the time and you gotta draw the line somewhere. Boston, you're my home for better or worse these past twenty years or so.

Pros: history; eclectic mix of sites and sounds; Red Sox games at Fenway Park Cons: a bit pricey to stay for long
The mantra of the frustrated Red Sox fan every fall is, "Wait until next year." That said, when next year comes around, Boston is the perfect place to be. Not just for a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, which ought to be reason enough, but...

Pros: The Old Flavor of United States Cons: not for the younger generations
OK, where should I start. I have lived in LA and NYC for most of my life, but just recently moved to the Boston area. It is quite a change from LA and NYC, but Boston does have its own characteristics that set it apart and make it more attractive to...

Pros: Lots of fun Cons: No one was found
Review Topic: Overview
Before my trip (I must confess) I thought it would be difficult for me to tell one American city apart from the other. But now for me the difference between Boston and New York is quite clear. In few...

Pros: Convenient to public transportation and walkable Cons: Somewhat bleak and dirty looking
Much of Boston's history can be found right under your feet! The burial grounds of the founding fathers are conveniently located in the heart of the city and can be easily accessed by foot or public transit.
Just a few hundred feet from...

Pros: Lots to see. Historically rich. Excellent Public Transportation System. Cons: For the most part, nIghtlife shuts down at 2am. Big Dig makes travelling by car difficult.
If it wasn't for Boston's public transportation system it would be nearly impossible to get around. Leave you car at home and buy a T pass. That being said Boston is by far my favorite city. Ok so I live in Boston (or actually a suburb of it) but for...

Pros: Good family for all the family Cons: Little cold at times.
Boston and the surrounding areas are steeped in History. Being the center of the American Revolution, many English will cringe as they visit Boston Harbor and the site of the 'Boston Tea Party'. Being an Englishman myself, it is interesting to sea the...

Pros: History; North End Cons: Driving
For some reason, everyone I’d known who has ever been to Boston told me that I would love it there. Well, they were right. It is definitely my kind of city. For someone who likes history, it is a treasure trove. To me, Boston is a near perfect blend...

Pros: Restaurants, shops, historic landmarks Cons: Too much to do in a few days
I went to college in Boston (Emerson College) and have visited Boston many times over the years. I like it for many reasons but since I do not drive it is a walking town and "the T" (their transit system) is easy to use.
I enjoy...
