Pros: Tons of entertainment. A bit of something for everyone. Cons: Pricey and crowded.

Pros: Inexpensive and different Cons: Traffic and getting there
What put a little country town in the Ozarks of Missouri on the map? Actually there were two events, separated by many years that occurred, maybe a third for the area around it. What Branson is today is a tourist trap. What it was before the last event ...
Pros: Great music, great, clean comedy Cons: NONE!!!

We returned from a week in and around the Branson area, April 8 - 15, 2006. We flew in and out of the Springfield/Branson Airport, which is about 45 minutes from Branson. After leaving the airport, a good sidetrip for us was going to the Grandaddy of ...
Pros: Charming place, includes a real breakfast Cons: None, unless you want to be on the "strip"
Although in my other review of Branson, you can tell it is not high on my list of travel destinations....I just happen to live in the area! There is one really charming Bed and Breakfast called the Bradford Inn, that I would highly recommend.
I have often heard Branson, MO referred to as a place for senior travelers. Yes there are countless busses bringing in many retired people who are coming from miles away to see many older...
Pros: Beautiful outdoors, awesome shows, great shopping, good food, nice people! Cons: Trying to decide which (of soooo many) things to do!
If you are prepared for the traffic, it won't bother you. It's actually kind of nice, as a passenger, because it allows you time to see all of the interesting buildings and signs along "the Strip." But there is much more to Branson than the Strip. ...
Pros: Lots of shows to choose from, Beautiful country in the Ozarks Cons: Show quality, Christmas starts as early as a stores shopping season
My wife and I took a trip to Branson from Nov 4-7 2004. Overall it was a nice place to visit. A great place to stop if passing through but I don't think we'll make it a destanation again for many years. While we were there we stayed at the ...

I never wanted to visit Branson, but ended up living in the general area, and am amazed with all the wonderful tourist destinations, that 6,000,000 people visit this "tacky" place. Sorry to be so blunt.....
Pros: you get the chance to feel like a human blender!!! Cons: paying $25 to find out how really stupid you can be

My boyfriend and I just got back from a trip to Branson, Missouri. We are in our late twenties and I wasn't sure that we would find anything entertaining to see during the dark hours of the day. We took a trip down the strip and came across a sign,...
Pros: LOTS of things to do! Cons: traffic is sometimes tough during the high season
Living in a small town outside of Branson during the "big boom" as we called it, I was offered the opportunity to check out nearly every show on the strip. My family owned a small resort and all the show owners were quick to offer us free...

There is always something to do in Branson, whether you are taking in one of the great shows, dining in one of the many restaurants or simply haunting the malls.
Pros: lots of entertainment, geared to families Cons: very commercial, can be expensive and crowded
I've lived in Missouri for 32 of my 38 years. So when people that I'd meet in my travels throughout the U.S. would ask me about Branson, it was always a little embarrassing to have to admit that I hadn't been there. I decided to rectify that last year...
Pros: Plenty to do, family atmosphere, friendly people Cons: Pricey, traffic, crowding
How do you describe Branson? I struggle to wrap words around the town. Branson is sort of the worst and best of the Heartland of America... highly distilled and presenting an almost stereotypical face. Being located in "flyover country," most people...
Pros: flashy, lots of choices, shows Cons: trashy, expensive
Recently our family had to go on a business trip to the land of flash and trash..Branson, MO.
Branson is apparently a choice vacation spot to many, as evidenced by the bumper to bumper traffic throughout the city.
Ever dream of getting away and enjoying a weekend alone? Well Branson is one great place to have what is known around our house as grownup time. However it is also well suited for children, and elderly.

First of all, I chose to go to Branson because I wanted to have a glimpse of cheesiness at its height. And I was not disappointed in the least. This place was so bad, so awful, so NOT Las Vegas, I can only compare it to what it would be like if all the...
Pros: Integrating course design with rugged Ozark Mountain topography, the courses are both scenic and challenging. Cons: Too many courses to choose from.

Pros: The scenery was beautiful, entertainment almost everywhere Cons: The traffic is congested all the time! They need to do something about these roads.
This place was an intense disappointment. I've thought about it as "The Entertainment Capitol", with bands performing in an un-countable number of theatres (and even fast-food restaurants). But when we got off U.S. 65, we started seeing a traffic...
Pros: Much to see and do for the whole family Cons: A little too touristy, things can become quite expensive

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do at Branson Star Theatre by henryfarkas ,Nov 22 '08
Pros: Funny, good music, good dancing, great csst. Cons: It's in Branson, Missouri which is pretty far from almost anywhere else.
My wife and I went to see the show, "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" at the Branson Star Theatre. It's a musical comedy featuring the songs of Neil Sedaka. It's an amusing situation. A bride gets deserted at the alter, and her best female friend convinces her that she and the bride should go on the honeymoon anyway. This isn't a spoiler. You find this out in the first five minutes. Anyway, they go to a hotel in the Catskills for the Labor Day weekend, and amusing things happen. There are plenty of laughs, the songs are great, and the cast is quite talented at comedy, singing, and dancing. My wife and I enjoyed the show a lot. We recommend it. And it cost about half what a similar musical comedy ticket would cost in any big city. Branson is pretty far from almost anywhere, but it's worth the trip. There are 100 theaters in town, and lots of entertainment. It's like Las Vegas without the gambling, and the entertainment, unlike Las Vegas, is fit for family viewing.
Pros: Slick production. Great comedy. Cons: Too slick, too much hype, too many props and singers are not 'united'.
Pierce Arrow has a nice theater[bathroom capacity has problems], great lighting, slick props, too stuffy and hot though... I would have liked to have seen a less Vegas type show and more talent. The singers seemed to doing their own thing and not as a group...resulting in a fragmented performance. Kim Boyce seems to be still trying to win the beauty title....sheesh! Branson is known for its raw and real talent. I still enjoy the shows where the lesser known folks give some real 'from the heart' performances. Or, the 'old timers' whose timing and voice are there face to face with you. Mickey Gilley [which is a whole 'nother' review] -is one example. Branson does deliver the good though= one fun place to visit and the shows as a rule, are GREAT. I won't return to Pierce Arrow, but I will continue to hit the Branson circuit bi-weekly and drop a few hundred. ;)
Friday Night Live Cabaret even BETTER in its second year! by bearmcdowell ,Jun 21 '06
Pros: Eclectic, energetic and inexpensive. New show every week. Branson's best entertainment value! Cons: Only once a week.
Looking for something truly different and unique in Branson? The Branson Underground's Friday Night Live Cabaret, now in its second year, is a fun, hip weekly revue performed by many of Branson's best but unsung entertainers. No headliners here, just the incredibly talented entertainers who often go unnoticed because the theatre isn't named after them. Each week is a different show, and you'll get a little bit of everything, from Broadway to country, from comedy and magic, to opera and Shakespeare. Kudos to the House of Rock for having the brains, the heart and the courage to bring a show like the Friday Night Live cabaret to Branson! The Branson Underground Friday Night Live Cabaret plays every Friday night at 11:15pm, at the House of Rock, 310 North Gretna Road (behind the new Titanic exhibit). Tickets are $5 for entertainers, $10 for locals and $15 general admission.

French Quarter, Branson WATCH OUT FOR CAR DAMAGE!! by travelvet ,Aug 31 '05
Pros: Staff makes lots of promises, sounds nice, some activities, sales office gives lots of tours Cons: Crowded parking, lacks security, RUDE staff, units smell, WILL NEVER RETURN damaged car $1000, STRESSFUL!
French Quarter DOES NOT care about the SECURITY of their guests. On 8/27, our 2005 Honda Accord was damaged ($1000 ) in this resorts parking lot while parked. Reports were filed and we were told not to worry. The next day, the management and their insurance REFUSED to accept liability. The French Quarter DID NOT take care of us. If a crime or activity to a vehicle occurs on site; the resort takes NO LIABILITY. We filed complaints to RCI against French Quarter for failing to take care of their guests as a "GOLD CROWN RESORT" should have done. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. WE think that anyone considering travel or a future purchase at this resort should seriously reconsider WHETHER the risk of damage to their vehicles is WORTH the price of vacationing in Branson!
