Pros: Action, Theme, Effects

Just a short review with limited spoilers so don't read if you don't want to know.

This ride just opened and is still in de-bug mode. The cool thing was that we rode it 5 times and every time was different.

Lines were sort in the first few hours after park opening as everyone was in line for Shreck. The que area is well decorated with lots to look at along with a video.

The ride load splits at the top the the stairs and two cars are loaded at once. The ride is a "dark" ride with a coaster car.

The effects are great and the production quality is top notch. Once they get all the effects running and synched, it should be really cool.

I rate it a 10 on effects, 8 on scare / un-predictability, 8 for coaster thrill, and 5 for efficientcy only because it did stop a couple of time during the ride.

Pros: A fun, carefree place with good rides; little is scary
Cons: Confusing, unorganized, little of a theme, too carefree

Universal Studios is a fairly good theme park, but in my opninion, it needs more order, organization and a more unified feeling. The park is too cluttered and yet too distant feeling. It dosen't really feel like a motion picture studio. Some of the rides are off-topic, like Animal Planet Live. The place is extremely confusing what with the lagoon and such to navigate around. The park also, like I said, seems to have just dropped the rides on from the sky with little care. This is spontaneous but the layout is just confusing.

However most of the rides offer fun without being too scary, except Back to the Future, and Men in Black; also the new Mummy ride (but that's rather obvious).
