I could not be more DISsatisfied.

Pros: Employees are friendly. Incompetent, but friendly.
Cons: I got charged $150 more than I agreed to!
When I arrived to pick up my the car I reserved, Enterprise couldn't find my reservation. They finally found it, but by then the computer had gone down. By the time the computer was working, the printer wasn't. When they finally got both the computer and the printer working, we agreed on a rental price. Unfortunately, the amount that got charged to my credit card was $150 more than we had agreed to. Now I have to go through my credit card company to challenge the charge. What a pain!

Don't use Enterprise at the Las Vegas airport!

Pros: Cold bottled water available for rental customers. Cons: Quoted me one rate, and billed me for a much higher one.
I made an on-line reservation with a firm rate, confirmed it the day before renting, and again at the rental desk. When I returned my rental car, not only was I billed at a higher rate, but was told that a credit card gift certificate I was using toward the rental was only good for part of it, something they never mentioned when I first gave it to them. Some additional insurance I added (which was presented to me as $9.00 total), was billed at a rate of $12.99/day. My rental expense was TWICE what I originally was told, and customer service said flat out that they couldn't help me. I will NEVER use Enterprise again, and will stick with Dollar, which has always been wonderful.

I will never rent from Enterprise again

A few months ago, during my vacation to visit my parents, I rented a vehicle from Enterprise. I will NEVER rent from them again.
On a Monday, I went to the local Enterprise dealer, and made a reservation to pick up a small car on Friday. On Friday I showed up at the agreed time, and Enterprise informed me that all they had was a huge 'freakin SUV. They had four days to get a small car to their dealership, but they didn't do it.
I hated driving that SUV. I'm used to my small car, so driving such a large, clumsy vehicle made me anxious. And of course I was peeved because the SUV cost me about $40 more in gas than a small car would have. In summary, that SUV was a dark cloud hanging over me throughout my entire vacation.
And ... to make a long story short ... I was charged an extra $40 due to Enterprise employee incompetence. They said they would resolve the problem, but they didn't ... and it's not worth my time and effort to try to resolve it. Thanks, Enterprise ... you cost me $80 bucks!

Pros: close proximity Cons: poor service, bad alignment
I was fine with paying a little more for convenience.
The had signs posted about being closed thanksgiving. When I asked them about returning the car they said I had nothing to worry about. I was charged for thanksgiving. On top of evertything they gave me a car with slightly bad alignment. There are actually 3 people at this branch named "Chris." Some how Chris lost my reservation.
I'm very dissappointed at this enterprise. Usually, they are ver good about customer care. The only offered me $15 off a weeks rental for the bad alignment. Talk about shady.

Unprofessional

I had a car reserve for a week but the day i was schedule to pick it up,it was not there. I waited over 5 hours before i was able to get a car. The lady was going to charge me over 50 dollars more than what the advertise price listed.I went back and and the lady's demeanor was very rude and unprofessional. I hope all the other enterprise employees are not like the lady In Wilkesboro,NC.This will probably be last time i rent a car from them.I have been a customer of theirs many times and this may be my last.

Enterprise very Unprofessional

Pros: Pickup and delivery sometimes. Cons: Unprofessional, immature, rude, incompetent & unorganized.
After making a reservation on a Tuesday for a Friday rental I called on Thursday to confirm. No record of my reservation. Incompetent! They went ahead and re-confirmed.
Despite having a car ready there, they made me wait 30 minutes while they cleaned another car as they had lost my reservation once again. Rude and further incompetence!
#3 They advertise a $9.99 special for the weekend. However, it's a bait and switch routine as they only have a few cars available at this rate and the real price is $14.99 at this store anyway. Since it's a national special maybe they have a car ins some city available. Who knows! They even told me not to even bother trying to get this lower special as these were impossible to get. non existent!?
#4 perks-If they feel like it and they aren't busy, they'll give you a ride home, another advertised special of FREE pickup and delivery, which is nice if and when it happens.

Exquisitely Disappointing: Enterprise Customer "Service"

Pros: None. Cons: A 48-hour (!) response time promised, but not honored, by the customer service department.
After reading glowing reviews on epinions.com, I decided to rent from Enterprise. I have been completely disappointed.
I am planning to rent a car for 8 days, picking up at one airport location and dropping off at another airport location. I sent an email to Enterprise's customer service department inquiring about one-way rentals, and was informed that I would receive an answer within 48 hours. Subsequently, Enterprise sent an email stating that it would "assume" I'd received an answer if the company did not hear from me in 48 hours. This should have been an indication that something was amiss: Enterprise would contact me in 48 hours, unless they heard otherwise within 48 hours.
Three days went by, and no word from Enterprise. I telephoned customer service but after more than 25 minutes on hold, I decided that the customer service department is either too overwhelmed or understaffed to welcome a new renter.

very poor company

Pros: I would never rent from Enterprise again. Cons: I would never rent from Enterprise again.
I was hit by an Enterprise vehicle. The person driving was not the renter. My vehicle was in the collision center for a month and I finally had to get a rental. It is not my fault that Enterprise is allowed to rent to irresponsible people. I went to Enterprise believing they would do the right thing. I rented a vehicle for 10 days and it cost me around $900.00. They sent me a check for $325. I will not rent from them again, and I send everyone I know who comes to town to the competition now.

Enterprise for my family vacation in Florida...NOT

Pros: Got a Shuttle, and a friend lent me his car. We drove two cars everywhere. Cons: They drop the folks w/ lowest rates for the folks paying higher rates.
I was planning my family Christmas Break vacation in West Palm Florida over two months ago. I reserved a minivan at the Boyton Beach Enterprise because over Christmas break at the airport the van for the week was around $800.00. I found if I book through the small local Enterprise it was only $369.00 for the week. I told my father to pick it up and then pick up me my wife and for kids to bring us back to my parents house. This was for X-mas eve. Well- three nights before leaving I called to confirm w/ Enterprise that we were all set. They confirmed and said see you then. The night before we were to leave for our trip, I am at a Devil's game and my wife calls me in a panic, "Enterprise called and said they don't have any more cars left". That basically ruined the rest of my evening, as I'm calling all over, from other rental places who are now charging $900.00 for a car to nothing availible at all. The Enterprise ustomer service said they can't help me, but they are availible 24/7.

Branch did not honor reservation made on website.

Pros: Proximity Cons: Did not honor the reservation. Unprofessional. Car was filthy.
I made a reservation for a cargo van on the internet. I am 22 years old and the reservation said I was being charged $5 extra for an under 25 age driver.
Arrived at the branch and they said they would not rent me a cargo van, only a full size vehicle. I needed a van to move. Enterprise refused to honor their commitment.
A local company met my needs cheerfully and politely.

28 hours waiting for a tow

gave me a 35.000 mile pontiac grand am @ Lubbock, TX
car broke 10.01.05 3:00PM @ Fort Worth, TX
17 registered calls to customer service
2 tow trucks never arrived
each call 15 to 60 minutes holding on the phone
other branches hesitated to give a replacement car as long as the departure branch was closed: the contract could not be canceled without the car being towed...but tow never came...did not even care...
tow truck arrived 10.02.05 5:00PM...28 hours later.
got money back from the contract, had to literally beg for compensation: taxis, overnight @ motel6, gas.
correct spoken manners, complete de facto mistreatment

Terrible Experience

Pros: The car was clean. Cons: Terrible customer service and unethical behavior.
As a result of an accident, my car had to be in the body shop for 9 days. The insurance company stated they would provide a rental car through Enterprise. When obtaining the rental car, I specifically asked the sales man, "Is this particular car completely covered by the insurance company, or will I have to pay extra out of pocket?" He looked me in the eye and said, "Yes. This car is completely covered by insurance." So, after returning the car, I find a charge to my bank account from Enterprise. I immediately call the Enterprise office where I rented the car and asked why there was a charge. The man stated that the car was not covered completely and the extra amount was charged to me. After explaining what had been told to me prior to renting, the man said that he could request the paper work (he said the paper work had already been 'sent out') but it would take at least 2 months before they knew anything. I have called them 4 times, and six months later, I still have not been reimbursed, apologized to, or contacted as to the long delay in receiving said 'paper work'.

Surprise fees, dangerous car

I rented a full-size car from Enterprise for a family trip. Received a Chevy Impala with no remote opener. Had to open the trunk from the dashboard. Truly inconvenient, but not a deal-breaker. The car shook at full speed on the highway. Did not realize the significance of this at the time. We made it back home safely after a weeklong road trip. Air was hissing out of the rear tire as we unloaded it. My husband put on the spare rather than pay the $61 service fee Enterprise charges. Turns out the car had not had a wheel alignment and the tire had been rubbing against the car so much the rubber was worn down to the wire mesh. Very dangerous, could have exploded in highway traffic and we might have lost control of the car. When I returned it the guy at the counter had no idea if or when that car had been serviced. Final surprise was a lot of charges never communicated upfront in numerous phone calls. Never again.

Terrible service

The enterprise rent a car in Rochester MN located at a local car dealership had a lady who said she was the manager that was absolutely terrible in her customer service. She aggresively pushed to get us to buy the CDW and just did not know when to quit. She wanted to take a copy of my credit card??????????????? and infact did take a copy of my state drivers license. I have never had this happen at any other car rental agency. She was unprofessional, rude and since she was the manager , I could not complain to anybody there. The enterprise website has no feedback form or any number that you can dial to explain how their branches are being managed. This company does not care about customers. The only way they can attract customers is with their low weekend rate for which you get sub standard service.

My rental experience with Enterprise was a very unpleasant one. I rented a car from a branch in September last year. In October I received a parking ticket notice from Boston. The ticket was issued on August 5th on the same car I rented in September. I never had the car in August. I went to the Enterprise immediately. They copied the notice and said it would be taken care of. Then last week I received another notice from the collection agency asking me to pay the parking ticket! I called the local branch again. They said it would be taken care of in a week. I checked with the parking office a this week and it is still not cleared. I called their local administrative office and it seems no one is there.
My experience is just for your reference if you consider renting from Enterprise. I will definitely not do business with them again.
