SHOW AND TELL is the first live album released by Canadian gothic-aggro-electronica act the Birthday Massacre. Recorded in Germany in 2007, the album is an excellent teaser to the surreal, romanticized world of this band. It's produced so crisply that, were it not for the inter-song banter, one would swear this was a studio album. Simultaneously creepy and sexy, SHOW AND TELL melds 1980s New Wave synth-pop with modern, neo-industrial gothic rock. In the process, the Birthday Party have tapped into a sound that is both sultry and infectious. |
