PUBIC FRUIT contains Curve's first three British EPs--BLINDFOLD, FROZEN and CHERRY (all released in 1991)--plus an extended version of "Fait Accompli." Curve includes: Toni Halliday (vocals); Dean Garcia (bass). Producers: Curve, Steven Osbourne, Flood. After a stint in the Roxy Music-like '80s band State Of Play and a 1989 "solo" record by Toni Halliday, longtime musical partners Halliday (vocals) and Dean Garcia (guitars/keyboards) formed Curve with a few musical partners who largely stayed in the background. Utterly unlike either of the partners' previous projects, Curve were distinctly under the influence of My Bloody Valentine and the bands on the UK indie Too Pure, who mixed miasmic guitars, droning synthesizers and thudding electronic beats into a pounding, intense hybrid. Curve quickly released three UK-only EPs, BLINDFOLD, FROZEN, and CHERRY, in 1991. These vinyl releases were combined into the charmingly titled compilation PUBIC FRUIT in 1993.
