Cleat Choosing. How to go about it.

You can't just go out and buy any soccer cleat. You need to know a little about soccer cleats first. You need to be willing to spend some money. Or else you'll get the same terrible cleat that you paid for. Well, first off you need to decide whether you are buying an indoor cleat or an outdoor cleat. If you are getting an indoor cleat, you will be looking at the shoes without spikes, to help with the resistance against astroturf. The shoe that you find needs to be pretty tight, so you won't be moving around a lot inside. If you are getting an outdoor cleat, you will need to make sure the shoes are waterproof, incase you play a game in wet weather. Normal leather shoes will be ruined after one game in the rain. A very key but overlooked part is strong shoelaces. They need to be worked in a little before using so your shoes won't come untied and then you won't miss any of the game. Look at the size of the spikes on the underside of the cleat. You don't want ones that are too large so you cant run. But you also don't want ones that are too small because then starting and stopping on the field will be a lot more difficult. If you want to you can decide to mold your cleats so they fit your foot perfectly. I would not recommend doing this because then you will only get one season at the max out of the shoes. It is also more expensive. I would recommend buying a shoe that has a tongue that allows you to tie your shoe lace underneath it.
