I've been an adventure game addict since the very first text based adventure game (sometime in the '60s, I think). Newer, graphics intensive, games require more and more performance from CPUs, DVD/CD-ROMS, and graphics cards and I try to keep up. I have a PhD in physics and had 25 years experience in the software engineering field where I was a well-respected computer systems analyst and troubleshooter for a software contractor to NASA GSFC until I retired in 1999.
