THAT'S SARDINIA FOR YOU, FOLKS.
I
So it goes.
.
I was conceived in Greece in August '69 during my parents' honeymoon in Athens. My mom is 100% American (yes, the old WASPY ones) and met my father when backpacking through Europe, on a beach.
Giorgio Barone asks in French: "Do you have a light?"
- Nancy Brewster replies in French: "Sorry, I don't smoke".
Giorgio: "Neither do I".
Love at first sight.
(They didn't let ME hitchike through Europe, twenty years later, though...)
So it goes.
Was born in CT and lived there for my first 5 years, then moved to Torino, Italy with all of my family: including my brother Francesco Barone, who now lives with me and my baby love - my cat *Bijan*.
(Frank Barone. Straight out of the Sopranos.)
My mother moved back to CT 5 years ago. We all stayed. So far.
So it goes.
I love to travel. I hate to work. My last name Barone doesn't necessarily mean I'm a heiress. So I had to compromise. I'm a travel agent. I used to travel a lot for free when I was doing retail in leisure. I became a manager. A business travel consultant. Grueling. Massacring the PC in a dimly-lit office. And getting vacation three times a year.
I now get my kicks out of brochures and sending people all over the world.
So it goes.
Elsa.
An ex-boyfriend dreamt up that one for me a decade ago. Everyone in town calls me Elsa, as the lioness in Born Free. That stands for Free Soul.
And since I can't be a free soul nearly as much as I wish I could be in my life, I get my freedom out of writing on whatever I feel like, reading whatever I feel like, and trusting whomever I feel like. I don't give a damn about the pennies. We have the Euro over here. I do it 'cause I enjoy it.
Take it or leave it.
So it goes.
