An Ohio State Student majoring in Chemical Engineering. I am a rock music enthusiast! My collection now has over 400 rock cds and is always growing. I use that to pretend that I know what I'm talking about.
I try not to be overly professional with my reviews. I want to give the fan's perspective on things. What do the normal people like in their music? What do they want to hear? What do they notice? I do my very best to bring that average music listener appeal to my reviews.
I've gained a lot of influence from spending countless nights reading tons of music reviews, or even Roger Ebert's movie reviews on his main webpage. I play poker, video games, and watch all kinds of amazing movies in my spare time. (I'm building up quite the DVD collection as well).
I've been getting into harder rock lately, and I've even been delving into power metal like Dream Evil, Symphony X and Edguy. That doesn't mean I don't have an appreciation for all types of rock music, whether it be pop-punk, punk, rock, nu-metal, or metal, I love it all. I've reviewed albums ranging from The All American Rejects to Meatloaf to Disturbed. I also don't usually review CDs I didn't like enough to purchase in the first place, so you won't be seeing very many 1 star reviews out of me, if any. I would rather commend an album for it's strengths than blast it for it's weaknesses, but I'm working on getting better at both.
