Hello...
My degrees (BA, MA, and almost done with PhD) are all in the field of Public Health/Health Promotion. Until a few years ago, I had worked at hospitals, universities, and for the state government in helping people to live healthier lives by making better choices. My area of focus has specifically been on helping people to "Age Successfully". Of course people thinks that means working just with "old" people (I've met plenty of people who are "old" at 30, so that term is relative!). We are all aging, and we can either do it successfully or we can do it miserably.
Now at the age of 44, I find myself married (almost 5 years now), and staying home with my daughter who is now 3. Best job I have ever had! She is a delight! The Lord has blessed me indeed with this happy, healthy little girl and I wouldn't choose anything else to do than be her mom. I will be homeschooling her and am already looking at preschool curriculums (there are so many resources out there for anyone who wants to homeschool!), as most of them start at age 2. Yes, she's learning everyday already of course, but I'm speaking of more "formal" learning.
The best things you can do for your little ones are reading to them, hugging them, being patient, gentle, laughing, living a healthy and active lifestyle, and most importantly teaching them about Jesus.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. I hope we can help each other make better decisions on the items we need to purchase for ourselves, our homes, and our families.
