About imaworkaholic

I enjoy working with clients on a personal, one-on-one level. It's always my priority to give the client more than they pay for, make them feel good about their investment of dollars on my services and assess their needs quickly and see how I can best address them. I strongly believe that no matter what "widget" someone is selling, Customer Service is ALWAYS the company's most marketable commodity. It is also the commodity that yields the highest return in the form of referrals and repeat business. No matter what a company manufactures and sells, I strongly believe it is imperative to build that company on a solid foundation of excellence in the treatment of their customer/client base.
Being a consumer as well as a representative of my clients' needs, I have no tolerance or patience for apathetic, lazy, poor customer service. Especially from large companies that treat me as if they don't care if you take my business elsewhere or not. If am treated like nothing more than an invoice, I will take my business somewhere else, even it sometimes means paying a bit more. I'll drive out of my way to buy groceries at a store out of my neighborhood if the one in my neighborhood treats me like they don't care if they have my business or not.
Along that same line, it infuriates me to deal with companies that refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes, poor communication, and lousy service. I'm both bothered and concerned by the number of service providers that will steamroll right over the top of an individual to squeeze one more dollar out of them.
I'm a big letter writer on the behalf of customer service people who help me. I write thank you letters quite frequently to managers and supervisors telling them what a wonderful job their staff is doing. And when they aren't doing a good job, I am just as communicative about that.
That's why I enjoy epinions.com so much. I have a place to share my concerns as a consumer and feel validated. When I'm pleading my case with an obstinate vendor I sometimes wonder if I'm just being oversensitive. Then I read the comments from other subscribers and I know that I'm not oversensitive. Like so many other consumers, I am fed up.
