Some things that make me happy are:
My fiance (I haven't really started working on our wedding yet, but it will be in the summer of 2004. At least, I think...).
Cooking, eating, reading cookbooks, and anything else food-related.
Hanging out in bookstores.
Traveling- I just returned from a month-long road trip across the country. We started in Boston and then drove through New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota (we camped at Roosevelt National Park and almost got squished by a herd of buffalo roaming at 6:00 am through our campsite...), Montana (camped at Glacier National Park), Alberta, British Columbia (stopped in Vancouver), Washington (went to Olympic National Park), Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah (camped in Zion National Park and went horseback riding in Bryce Canyon), Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado (we wanted to go to Mesa Verde, but it was on fire...), Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland (for about 5 miles..), Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, then back home again! Phew! My last two non-US destinations have been Barcelona, and then Lisbon last winter...
My (dear departed!) yellow VW Beetle.
Those rare and glorious days when everything is peaceful in my classroom.
My newest time and money-consuming hobby: knitting.
My ever-entertaining and destructive black cats, Stella and Luna.
Sushi.
Lying in the sun.
The ultimate perk for a teacher-- Summer Vacation!

That's all for now. If I ever get the energy and time, I will make my profile snazzy again. Until then, thanks for reading.
