Raising four children and teaching have made me very aware, I hope, of some of the real dangers facing our young ones today--as well as the opportunities that await them, if they are educated and encouraged. Obviously that's easier said than done--but we can all try.

Animals, too, are important to me. From a roadside amusement park to owner of two very different dogs, I find animals fascinating.
