"There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest." - Elie Wiesel
"People often say, with pride, 'I'm not interested in politics.' They might as well say, 'I'm not interested in my standard of living, my health, my job, my rights, my
freedoms, my future or any future.'" - Martha Gellhorn
Not a whole lot else to write here. I graduated from college in 2000, with a BA in Film and a BA in English. Which is to say, there wasn't a whole lot I could do but go back to school. Which I did after a couple of years, and I'm now busy working (and not able to spend as much time here) on a graduate degree in Psychology. And I somehow managed to convince a very special girl that I was worth marrying back in early 2001...and love is good for anything that ails you.

My Philosophy on Film Criticism (as summed up by someone much smarter than myself):
"As an amateur, then, I must as well as I can simultaneously recognize my own ignorance and feel no apology for what my eyes tell me as I watch any given screen, where the proof is caught irrelevant to excuse, and available in proportion to the eye which sees it, and the mind which uses it." -- James Agee
And the best thing Roger Ebert ever said about films:
"There are two things you can't argue in film: comedy and erotica. If something doesn't make you laugh, no one can tell you why it's funny, and likewise, it's hard to argue someone out of an erection."
My other thoughts on film:
"Theaters are the new Church of the Masses- where people sit huddled in the dark listening to people in the light tell them what it is to be human." - Theatre critic, 1936
"Film lovers are sick people." - Francois Truffant

have a nice day.
