Computers have revolutionized the world in various ways. It stores extremely huge amounts of data that hospitals depend on. With ought computers our lives would be much more of a hassle. They make notebooks seem like a waste of time. When you could just bring a notebook computer and take down much more notes than on a notebook. Also the computer notebook has many features the original notebook doesn’t have. It has a spellchecker so that you don’t happen to misspell anything. You can also write much more than in a notebook because on a computer it saves things to hard drives which hold unbelievably huge amounts of data. You can also type much faster than you can write so that would cut down on the writing time and just type. Computers also provide us with a way to communicate and send files to other computers all around the world. This system is known as the World Wide Web. With this source of communication you can write emails to friends or family all across the country. You may even give or take larger files through servers or though computer-to-computer transaction. With the Internet also comes “hackers”. Hackers are people who take enjoyment in other people having their computers trashed or severely messed up. Hackers can erase all the information on your computer with ought you having control over anything. There is though something called a firewall, which provides the public with a type of barrier against these computer criminals. Although firewalls aren’t always full proof they are better than nothing if you have large amounts of information on a computer such as a server. A server is a computer souly devoted to storing information that other computers put on it. It has no use for a monitor or keyboard or mouse because it only stores information. Servers are needed to hold the information that a company may have on it such as spreadsheets, websites, and other information. With half the nation using computers it is a growing technology that will only get bigger as the years go on. Technology will soon be able to do most of the jobs that people can do more efficiently, faster, longer, and be able to do more than one thing at a time. Needs to have courses in school to learn about computers is growing. Some schools now are expecting kids to know at least a little on how to use a computer. Computers are getting more and more reliable, faster, and smaller. Computer parts are beginning to get small enough to fit in your pocket and be able to go on the internet. Computers also provide many people with jobs managing, upgrading, and replacing them for the average households. People are also going to be needed in networking jobs. Networks must be placed in Companies and houses. A company cannot do as much business as they would with ought computers. Printers were designed to mass-produce fliers, papers, spreadsheets, newspapers, and many other forms of information. Printers let companies distribute out a lot of papers more efficiently than hand writing them. People don’t realize how important computers are in everyday life.
