I'm a 20-year veteran stepmonster. . .er, stepmom, to two wonderful young men.
I'm a Business Process Analyst/Consultant - that's a fancy way of saying that I think I know how things should be run better than the folks that do it everyday! Giving my opinion is what I got paid to do. So I LOVE Epinions! I also have a background in computer programming - mostly mainframes but some PC stuff. I'm on a career break, as I'm choosing to call it! I just quit one day - cold turkey. Maybe I'll go back. Maybe I won't. Work seems to find me, though. As they say, "Make a lot of money? Good. Your kids will be glad. . .when you DIE."
Best trip: To the homeland of my ancestors: Scotland! Aye, it's true. My feet have walked the hallowed ground of St.Andrews.
Best sport: When life is good to me, I get to golf! When life is REALLY good to me, I get to golf with my husband.
Favorite contemporary writers: Anne Rice, John Grisham
Fan of the TV series, SURVIVOR and West Wing. . .the movie, Braveheart. . .the actor, Clark Gable (sappy, I know). . . the author and counselor, Dr. Phil MacGraw.
Our political affiliation is Republican. Once I was a very liberal Democrat. Then a conservative Republican. I'm now a moderate with no real home...but the Republican party is closer to my agenda than the Democrats. Ya gotta pick a side. I hate fence-sitters.
