I ordered a Nikon D40 kit, a Nikon camera bag, a warranty for used cameras, and two 4 gb memory cards from Adorama. Their shipping and response time was very quick. Their selection of new and used equipment is very good, and if you ever have any questions don't hesitate to call them and ask because they know photography equipment and can help you with your purchase.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for photo equipment. I will most definitely use them again. If you're ordering something from them, I'd recommend creating an account so you can get updates on future products and deals, but also so you can check your order status.

The only reason I didn't rate their selection as Excellent is because I think their used equipment (specifically lenses) inventory seems to fluctuate very quickly and often other retailers have lenses that Adorama doesn't have in stock. For this reason, I'd recommend checking with Adorama and then if they can't get it (or already have it, but it's not listed on the website) then looking elsewhere.

I recently lost the battery to my Nikon D70s and looking online, I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the high price of a new Nikon battery or go with a generic brand.  I found Adorama's link on Ken Rockwell's site and was thrilled to find an authentic Nikon battery for much less than anywhere else.  I ordered it on a Monday afternoon and received it Thursday afternoon, with FREE SHIPPING!  I got exactly what I ordered, for a great price, with fast, free shipping.  What's not to love?

I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel Xti on Sunday, and I had it within the week. Excellent experience; I would not hesitate to order from this vendor.

It was not the greatest experience. The pages were advertised as:

Based on the page dimensions that are the same as the ones I had that holds my handmade greeting cards I ordered them and they do not fit. So now I have 100 pages that don't fit. Also they have a different clarity too.

Adorama offers consistently competitive prices, and their level of service is excellent. When I ordered a Nikkor lens I inadvertantly ordered a 25mm filter instead of the 52mm filter I needed. A call to Adorama was all that was needed to rectify my mistake. I returned the filter; they credited my account and sent me the filter I intended to order. No hassles--just friendly, competent assistance.

Ordered a Minolta G500 digital camera on Saturday. Received a confirmation email, then a verification email the next day. After not receiving a shipping confirmation email by Wednesday, I called their customer service number, waited about five minutes on hold, then was told that the camera was not in stock. The the CS rep. was very polite; however, it's very annoying to find out that the camera was not in stock after four days of waiting. I should have been notified within 24 hours.

I cancelled my order, and found that J and R had it in stock for $5.00 more than Adorama's price. I'm giving Adorama 2 stars instead of 1 due to the polite customer service rep.

I found the item I was looking for and called to place my order. I was assured that there was stock and it would ship out to me by next day air. A few moments later, as promised, I received a confirmation email with the tracking number. The item arrived as promised and made my trip complete. I will be ordering from them again very soon.

I've ordered from them many times in the past and have never come across any problems. I've always received my items in a timely manner as expected from the delivery options I've chosen. I've never had to actually speak with any Customer Service Rep since I've never had any problems with my orders. They send out an email to confirm and thank you for ordering, and another email to let you know when your items(s) have been shipped out. I will continue using Adorama for all my photographic needs.

Adorama has the best web site of all photography dealers we work with. It's fast and responsive as is their service and prices. We are a 45 year old studio in NJ and Adorama has successfully earned our business.

received a quote on used equipment for a $1000 dollars. Sent in the equipment after a week I received a phone call stating that the equipment is worth a $1000 dollars and they only give 25% percent of the quoted number. I agreed to accept the deal. I placed an order for some new equipment. Received the equipment and a check for the used equipment which was $600 dollars. $600 is based on 40% not 25% I called up and spoke to Meyer my salesman who said " well that was Mr. gold who stated those number but you know he gave you free shipping which is worth $25 and he gave you $10 off the lense" I told him so deduct it from the $150 you shorted me and send me the $115. He stated Mr. gold will call you back. 12 days and a call a day for Mr. Gold and he will not return my call. These guys are scammers and I would not sell your used equipment to them and be very careful what you buy.

Great vendor, have purchased from them over 10 times, cameras, compact flash, speedlight, lenses, and filters.

Everything in-stock was fast ship and back orders were also delivered in a reasonable amount of time. For example, I bought a Nikon lens on-line on the Monday morning before Thanksgiving and received it via UPS Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving.

I returned one item because I changed my mind, they took it back without any hassle. Items shipped (NJ to MD) came next day, although I only paid for ground.

Prices were reasonable, were the best price for some items. Adorama has a storefront in Manhattan, NY, they are reputable, an authorized dealer of many products and you can really trust them, unlike buying from some unknown that only has a good price.

Questions were answered promptly, the follow up calls were great and the orders were shipped on time and complete. Overall a great experience.

For reasons I never have understood, Adorama seems to come up so-so in the ratings. I've been doing business with them for years, and have always had good experiences.
