CompuVest Online Store

I finally received my Macbook Pro this week (two weeks after ordering it) and the specs do not match the machine I ordered

*Only 1GB RAM is currently installed.  The base for this model is 2GB and the sales rep said it would be upgraded to 3GB because it would not ship for a week (BTW, I had to fax paperwork and copies of my credit card AFTER they had already charged my account, before they could process the order.  I've never had to do that w/ any other online merchant)
*The OS is apparently corrupt, as there are tabs missing from System Preferences and trackpad functionality is greatly reduced
*The top row of function keys is not mapped correctly and cannot be used
*The lid is noticeably warped and does not lie flush to the body when closed

I am appalled by the poor quality of this machine, and am requesting a Fedex/UPS label so I may return this and receive a refund

It was very easy, convenient, and I believe I got the best price on the item, and I received it ahead of the expected date of delivery. The zip drive has been installed and works perfectly.

I ordered a webcam and it came in about three days. It was exactly as described and well packed. Great price and customer service, would do business with them again.

In 11/07 I bought a Toshiba 40G Laptop HD NEW. In mid 1/08 I started experiencing errors and a couple of weeks later noises from the HD. The same thing happened when I connected it up outside of my desktop PC. By putting cool packs around it, I was able to transfer the data from it. I sent it back,Compuvest and they said it was OK. Credit of $32 for a $40 HD. Of course I had to pay shipping back. They wouldn't let me talk to the HD tester. To recoup some of my money I ordered a slower smaller HD to put in another Laptop. I pity the next customer that gets that HD. Not happy camper! My buying experience in the past has been good. Not likely will buy in the future. I ordered the replacement by phone a week ago..no tracking..no email.. no drive..Nada. Guess I have to call to find out whats going on.

The support from a salesman was excellent by answering few questions before purchase. Very helpful and courteous. Have purchased already again from Compuvest.

Horrible, I feel used and robbed!
I ordered this product from CompuVest and received a totally diferent product of lesser value. When I tried to return the product, they said thay had shipped the correct product to me and wouldn't admit their mistake. I also ordered 2nd day AM delivery and paid for it---the product I received was not sent out this way and I received it late! This company is a scam. I am currently reporting them to my credit card company to see if can do anythign about this. Dont't fall victim to this scam site!

They misrepresented the Thinkpad battery charger as working with T series batteries as well as U and Z series batteries. I got the product which wouldn't work with my battery. The item would have been reasonable priced but the hassles with their return policy were enough that I just sucked it up and will never shop there again.

I had a great experience purchasing from CompuVest store. Everything was great from the availability, pricing, ordering. I would definitely purchase from them again.
