I am an IT professional and have been working with computers since the early 1980's. Last two purchases from Tiger have been lemons. Both times products died at 5 weeks - one week past Tiger Direct's warranty period. First lemon was from Samsung and Samsung's customer service bounced me from department to department. Voice and email messages all went unreturn and I eventually gave up and threw the product away. Second lemon was a remanufactured Acer with non-existent warranty support from Seneca Data. Looks like I will be fixing it myself. Nothing but bricks and morter shopping for me from now on - the savings of on-line purchases are a gamble and product tends to be of the poorest quality. Manufacturers know which lots are good and which are marginal. The marginal goes to the low-budget vendors, and the on-line merchants are the bottom. Brick and mortar merchants with good return policies and good service cost more, partially because they are paying the premium for top-grade lots from the manufacturers. My time is worth too much to me to be dealing with poor quality product.

I have received only one of the four rebates I filled at the same time from a Tiger Direct purchase. OnRebate claims I submitted my rebates after the deadline. Interestingly enough, one of my rebates was honored, I received a check about a week ago. I have the USPS shipping information to prove I had shipped rebates before the deadline.
A phone call to Tiger Direct told me that Tiger Direct is not related to System Max. Another phone call repeated pretty much the same information, and told me I would have to go through OnRebate as they are two completely separate companies. However, both OnRebate and Tiger Direct are owned by System Max. Both websites trace route to the same IP. Both websites have the same DNS information. Both websites have the same Registrar information!
Due to the negligence and failure with OnRebate.com I have no intention of doing business with Tiger Direct again. I honestly believe their rebate system is a scam. Buy from Newegg.com instead, they rarely have rebates, and their customer service is 1000x better. Tiger Direct is a horrible online retailer.

Shopping was easy, delivery on time, it all looked good until the parts didn't fit the PC. I then discovered the big-print 30-day return policy didn't apply to my order. No doubt there is a bit of legal protection on the site that says there are exceptions, but I plan to avoid shopping withTiger Direct again.
Have ordered a couple of different items from Tiger Direct in Canada with good success and quick delivery. One problem I encountered though was an advertised rebate that did'nt come into effect untill a few days after I bought the product but other than that they were great.
Very portable, sleek, stylish, and useful for anyone on the go. I highly recommend it. I use it all the time and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

Good prices, great specials, accurate delivery, and speedy delivery. I totally recommended it for any serious pc builders, both experienced or novice. I bought a faster DVD burner and tv tuner card for the same price as just a slower DVD burner and actually for less after the rebates. Within a few days, I received my products without paying for faster shipping. Great selections as well. Totally recommend.

Although same day shipping was advertised order confirmation said order will be delayed up to 48 hours. Still order is "in process". Please check ship dates prior to ordering. Website does not mention shipping and warehousing problems they are experiencing.

Please- Don't shop from TigerDirect.com I was having a good experience, or so I thought, until I tried to get my rebates. OnRebate.com is owned by TigerDirect.com, and they won't give you your rebates-seriously. Just google "Onrebate.com" and believe the complaints.
They will steal from you and not honor your rebates. I sent in for a $50 rebate. They replied and said the UPC barcode was incorrect. I opened the email yesterday that said my resubmission was wrong, but I had made a copy of it, and I checked with the manufacturer who verified the correct UPC.
When I called, "Mike" gave me the runaround and said he was trying to help me and he said they never received the resubmission and that I should fax(couldn't email, and I don't have a fax machine) him the email saying my resubmission was rejected. They had set the email to expire and my outlook deleted it.
Questionable Sales Order System by kennetho ,May 13 '04
I have just made an order on the web and realized that I have misstated the quantity for an item, a VGA card. I called in and changed the quantity from the original 10 to 5. When I inquire about whether the shipping fee was reduced accordingly, I was told it wasn't and it couldn't be reduced. Apparently, 5 VGA cards are weightless.
Anyway, I canceled the order. I am fortunate I checked the shipping cost or otherwise, I would have overpaid for shipping.
This is my first time experience dealing with Tigerdirect. It is likely my last. I wouldn't want to purchase from a firm that uses such a primitive order taking computer system.
I order a computer main board from tiger direct at good price $62 include shipping. Next day, I got a $15 coupons email from reservation rewards customer service. Just make a purchase at TigerDirect.com any time you want within the next 75 days. So I shop tiger direct again, I saw a computer case $29, I call Tiger direct customer service to place order, He said " you can not buy $29 things get $15 discount". I try to explain to him " sir I just want buy that case and i want to use my $15 coupon". Then he said
"I say one more time, you can not but $29 case to use your $15 coupon, if you buy something over $100, then i give you discount" then he hung up on me, very rude. My coupon should be same as cash when it used to buy anything plus on coupon, there is no print say you have to buy more than $$.

Corporate thieves!!! Taking advantage of people's inability to fight against corporations seems to be to their great benefit. How about some tough laws and penalties out there.
Tiger Direct in this case, sent a large order of mine to a different city, when I finally received it one of the cases was damaged. A $40 mouse I had ordered and paid with a Money Order in this same order, I had cancelled due to a better local price. Not a problem they said, but have not received that $40 back from them in well over a 1year 1/2 with plenty of phone calls and diversion tactics, including that they had sent out a check to the wrong address and I'd have to wait to see if it gets cashed. Last I heard 1/2 year a go I was due for a refund but haven't received my cash back. Makes the blood seethe. So you think they're got great deals do ya?

Now here we have an outfit that is here to satisfy the customer. Once you place your order they are very thorough in keeping in touch with you about your order. They ship your order within 2 business days. My overall satisfaction with them is excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone. One thing you will find about them is that they have GREAT PRICES that you won't see on items at your local places and finally they have items that you have been looking for that no one seems to have. Third time dealing with this merchant, and they exceed expectations every time. I had a backpacking trip-of-a-lifetime planned to Italy, when my camera died two weeks prior to departure. I live in a remote part of the world with little access to digital camera's, and had to order online. TigerDirect assured me the camera would be delivered on the day I placed the order, giving me thirteen days for it to be delivered. I cannot count on USPS or UPS due to my remoteness, and packages can take between eight, and twenty-eight days to arrive. The rebate process was extremly painfull. needed the product to arrive to even start the forms (needed serial number to get the form), then get into the system, then fill out the information, then wait for a confirmation email, then you can finally print the form, and fill rest of it and then send it. I ordered memory via your site, it was in stock, I paid via PayPal. Then i get an email indicating I need to call customer support or else my order will be cancelled. Customer service is supposed to be open 24x7. I called Saturday 7/23/05 @ 1:02am EST, and was sitting in phone queue. Very poor, very poor indeed.
