I am always leery of ordering on-line but never had any issues until ordering Toys-r-us products using Amazon.com. I tried two orders thinking the first was just a fluke. It was not. My first order was not complete. They did send me the rest of the order but a month later and two calls later they charged me for the remaining order. When I called to point out their error and they finally agreed, they said it would take 7 to 14 days for the refund to my account. My second order supposedly slipped through the cracks. When I called to inquire, I was promised that it would be shipped next day air. I called again two days later when I still haven't received my order. The items I requested 2 weeks prior was not out of stock but at this point they are out of stock. Therefore, the Christmas gifts I ordered in Nov will not be here until 2 days after Christmas. If I want a refund, it would take 2 - 3 weeks. That did it for me. Won't do it again.

Toysrus recently changed their return policy to no longer accept returns without receipt. This of course includes those awkward times when someone gives you a gift you already have with no receipt! I have always been a loyal Toysrus supporter, both online and instore, but now am switching to KB Toys. They have a much better return policy and customer service.
DO NOT USE TOYSRUS.COM! They have a very slick, money grabbing system going. I purchased an item, clearly listed as IN STOCK and shipping in 1-3 days. I, 4 hours later, received an email telling me the item was on BACK ORDER. To make matters worse, when I called, 4 hours later, I was cheerfully told that I could not cancel my order because their 3 hour cancellation "window" had passed. The transaction was listed as pending on Paypal quickly enough. It was worth it to me to put a stop payment on my bank account as the hold time on the Pay Pal customer service line was GREATER THAN 15 MINUTES!! This was a tactic of Toys r us when they were on the Amazon.com website. Run do not walk from Toysrus.com and Amazon.com and for that matter, Paypal.

I used to favor Amazon/TRU for online toy shopping, but after a horrible experience just recently, I LOATH this store!!! The item I TRIED to order mysteriously went "out of stock" JUST as I was checking out (about to complete the purchase!), only to mysteriously come back in stock the very next morning, after their coupon codes had expired. Give me a break. Amazon/TRU probably does this intentionally, so they don't have to sell too many items during a decent sale.
Also, customer service is of no help what so ever. I emailed them about the matter, they did NOTHING, refused to honor the code. -Although I know for a fact that a friend of mine WAS. I guess I just didn't get a "nice" CS rep??
No wonder TRU is breaking ties with Amazon....they must realize how crappy Amazon is!!!
I ordered 4 items for Christmas. I was emailed that 2 items had shipped. After 4 days of hearing nothing about the other 2 items I checked tracking on the website and there was no sign of them.
I called the 800 number and was told that the 2 items were out of stock! They sent in a "top priority request" for a refund. 5 phone calls and over 10 days later still no refund.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and they insisted on taking a message and having someone call me back. I didn't even have the option of holding.
So, here I am with no refund and 2 toys that my son wanted and are now Sold Out everywhere!!!

This year, I was recovering from childbirth during the holiday shopping season. Fighting crowds with a newborn in tow did not seem at all appealing, so for the first time ever, I did all of my holiday shopping online.
I bought almost all of my children's gifts from toysrus.com. I really liked that you can search my age, gender, keyword, manufacturer, or genre of toys and products. I found things for my children I would never have found in the store! When holiday shopping in person, I am usually in a rush, and browsing is something I simply don't do. However online, I spent a lot of time browsing, and found some gifts they LOVED that neither or they knew existed! I even bought some goofy gifts for my husband that he enjoyed.
Within 2 days, packages began arriving. The turnaround time was fast- these folks really have their act together! Everything arrived well before Christmas, and all orders were correct.
Yes, I did spend a little more to buy online and have it shipped to my home. But for me, the convenience was worth every penny! Next year, this is definitely the way I'll go.
I ordered the perfect Halloween costume from Toysrus.com that no other store or in store had available. They saved Halloween a few years ago and I've been ever loyal to them since.
I've bought video games and toys from them and have never had a bad experience.
I have not tried their customer service (which can be a good thing, since I never needed it and all orders went through without a hitch and arrived safe and sound to my front door). So I can't vouch for their customer service as far as first hand knowledge.

I have never had a single problem with them! Toys R Us in great. I have been shopping at toys r us online for a couple of years. Shipping has always been fast and the toys were always in excellent condition. There is also an area there for bargins and if you sign up for their mailing lists they email you when there are free toy deals or just great deals in general. My favorite place to shop online for toys!

Free shipping Free Barbie Airplane Fast Shipping = Exremely Happy Customer! placed a rather large order on Dec. 15th, estimated delivery date was Dec. 15th - Dec. 21st. First box full of toys arrived DEC. 16th!!! and the second box (Barbie Airplane) arrived DEC. 17th!! That within itself was truly impressive!
They were running a Free Shipping special, so that attracted me first as I had quite a few Barbie things on my list that my daughter wanted for Christmas. All the stores around me were sold out of the Animated Serefina the Cat from Barbie's Princess & the Pauper movie. It runs about $40 at stores - Toy 'R' Us had it online for $27.99! They were running a special too that if you bought $75 of Barbie items then you could get the Barbie Airplane for free! Had a Ken doll, Barbie Fairytopia dolls on the list too, so getting to $75 wasn't a problem, so this was a virtural no-brainer!
They guys are the worst in the market right now. My aunt bought my son a toy that he already has and I wanted to exchange it for something else. So I went to the store to return it without a receipt. They scanned it and confirmed that this was in fact purchased from ToysRus, but they still wouldn’t return it and give me store credit. The toy had not been open and it was in new condition. I have not experienced this third world return policy for many years. Because of this treatment, I am going to get the receipt from my aunt and return the toy getting my money back. I will go buy him a toy from another store. The funny thing is, all they sell is found at Target and Wallmart at better prices. Add the crappy return policy; I am not going to buy anything from them again. No wonder they are losing business. It they keep this up, I don’t think they will last much longer.
I even tried contating them directly via email, but they don't post their email online.

Toys r us would not even exchange a packaged item, that was there brand! My neighbor bought the item for my daughters 2nd birthday and she lost the receipt. When I took it back to exchange it, they said I had to have the receipt. I called customer service and all the girl had to say was, "I'll give you corporates address".
I have ordered from Toys R Us on Amazon numerous times. Each time, my orders have arrived complete and very quickly. Even with their "Super Saver Shipping" I received my packages withing 4 days.
The toy I ordered came poorly packaged and broken. When I tried to return the item to a store to get a new one it was a huge hassel. I shop online to save time, Toys R Us has wasted a day of my time for a $30 toy.
