I looked around for a while to find the perfect job search site. I tried searches like Head Hunter.com and Monster.com. These sights however were very difficult. The problem was that they provided pleanty of job info like where to send your resume, and to whom. However I couldnt just click "apply" and have it done with. That was what I was looking for.
Then I found hotjobs.
At hotjobs, I was able to cut and paste my resume from microsoft word and that was it. I saw a job that I liked, and I applied.
I applied to twenty five jobs or so a day. It was great not having to deal with evil employment agencies (they are not allowed to post jobs). At other job hunt websites, headhunters are permnitted to post so that when you think you are appling to a job at Goldman-Sachs you are really applying to temp4us. That really Stinks. At HotJobs it is a non issue.
I was still a student when I did my HotJob searches and I heard from hundreds of companies (literally).
Companys that use HotJobs tend to be new media companies that are young and exciting. The want to hire young, outgoing, ready-to-get ahead employees.
I got my job through Hot Jobs. It is the absolute best job I have ever had (and incedentally I have had many). I am thrilled to be here and happy that I got to do the search for myself without the pressure of a head hunter telling me which jobs were best for me.
Try it its great.
