Yahoo is awful! Anyone who has anything to do with them had better read the Terms of Service very carefully before agreeing to join. Did you know that they have rights to use anything that you put on their services for whatever they wish? They also own WebRing now, and have destroyed it in most webring owners eyes. No more pretty or interesting links to rings. Ugly grey bars! (You can change the colour and add a picture you need a magnifying glass to see, if you'd like :) They have taken away the ability of most ring owners to manage their rings by basically taking ownership from them and giving them management status instead. Technical problems make doing anything with rings nearly impossible every weekend. Emails to customer care are met with aut generated responses and I've never seen any individuals problem taken care of. Disappearing rings are a big problem, as are problems with email to new members and old throught the yahoo system, which is the only option available to webring owners now. Many have moved to other providers such as RingSurf and Bravenet. Go to those pages and check out what they have to say. Their growth has been incredible! Then we have geocities, which hasn't made any improvements since Yahoo took over. They offer less web space than almost any other free space provider. It hasn't gone up in a long time, while the other providers continue to increase allotments. Next to be destroyed, eGroups.
