One of my co-workers sent me an invitation to join All Advantage last
November. He stated that he had made hundred's of dollars by just using
their bar when he surfed the web, so why not sign up under him and make
some money.
Since extra cash always sound good, I thought why not. I signed up under
his id and downloaded the infamous viewbar. Within thirty minutes of
downloading the bar, I knew that I would definitely be earning my money
for using this pay to surf program. My computer that had been performing
perfectly up until the time I downloaded the surf bar, suddenly starting
locking up every 5 to 10 minutes. I contacted All Advantage they advised
me to remove their software from my computer, and download it again.
When I tried to download my bar, it didn't recognize my User id, so I
again contacted their customer service, they informed that they couldn't
locate my user id, I must not have done it correctly, so to go through
the new account sign up again. I should have know at that point, that
I was in trouble, but I went ahead and followed their advice.
To make a long nightmare short, minutes that had been credited to my
account would disappear the next day, and after four months of my
computer locking up and start up errors, I finally received a check
for $31.12.
Then came the e-mails, they were cutting down the number of hours they
would pay to surf and cutting the rates, so at that point I had a little
over $31.50 accumulated and I decided that one I received my payment for
the time I had accumulated, I would close my account. They must have
telepathically received my thoughts through their computer because that
very day I got an e-mail saying my account was frozen "irregularities",
was the reason given, but no explanation as to what the irregularity was.
They said I was suspended. The person who drafted the e-mail must have
been a 2nd teacher at one time, since I felt like a kid who just had
their fingers slapped by the teacher's ruler.
After a month or so I received another e-mail saying that I had multiple accounts and I had been cheating the program, so my earnings would be forfeited. I explained how I happened to have more than one account and
told them to check their records and they could surely determine that
the first account had not been used more than a few minutes. About 4
weeks later, they sent me an e-mail saying they were willing to forgive
me but my earnings would be forfeited.
My response to them contained the phrase you can put your ad bar where
the ........ . I realize that alot of people who joined the program early
and used their websites to get referrals made a lot of money, but I probably took over $30.00 in headache medicine from the problems this
program caused me.
