Cybergold is one of the first pay programs that I signed up with. It is also one of my favorites. It ranks up there with Epinions, as far as dependability and honesty is concerned.
I have been a member of Cybergold for about 8 months. I found the link on another site and quickly clicked on it. I read a little about the company and the procedures. I was a bit skeptical at first, but decided to go ahead and give it a try. I found many sites that I could join for free.
There were a few sites that required a credit card. I did not want to try these out since I was a newcomer to Cybergold. I decided that I would wait a while to see how reliable and safe Cybergold was. I had heard to many horror stories about giving your credit card number to companies over the internet. Like I said, I was a newcomer to the site and to the internet in general.
I found around 5 sites to join and by the time I was through I had about $5.00 in my account. Your account is not credited automatically, however, they do have some instant sites that do not require a credit card and the cash is deposited right away. Other sites can take between a day to several weeks to credit your account. However, the money does show up in your balance. Your account will show the total balance, which is everything that you have signed up for, but has not necessarily been posted to your account. It also shows your available balance, which is what is available at that moment to cash out.
You can click on the account details and it gives any information that you need to know. It gives the amount, date and time, and the details(such as company name and what it is for. If you sign up for a program that the money is not readily available, it will show that the reward is still pending. Then after it is credited your account is updated.
There are several ways to make money on Cybergold. The newest way is the goldbar. This is an adbar that you download. I was able to download mine around the fifth of July. I had signed up for it around May, but it was such a “hot” item that it was not available at that time.
The goldbar is a bar that can be docked on top or on the bottom of your screen. It is fairly large that is the only problem, but I have learned to basically ignore it. It shows ads for different companies and some that you can click on and sign up for instant cash. Most of these I have already joined, either through Cybergold or another program, so I just use the goldbar for hourly payrate.
You earn 15 cents an hour. The bar will have a green light showing if you are being paid and a red light showing when it is inactive. It is pretty lenient, as far as how actively you are surfing. For the most part, your mouse has to move around every few minutes or so. I know with other programs you have to switch screens every minute or so. I have not run into many problems of the sort with Cybergold. In fact, I have been paid for about every hour that I have been on.
You can also earn from your referrals use of the goldbar. I do not have any, so I can not give any input on that perspective. However, I do believe that you are paid for up to five levels of referrals. It is also unlimited hours per month. 15 cents an hour does not sound like much, but it does add up fast.
Your account updates every two hours of goldbar usage, however sometime it does run a little slow. I have always been paid though, what I have coming. If it does run behind then it will show the full amount when it updates. Like I have been paid 94 cents at one time. Usually it will show around 32 cents every time it updates, except when it is running behind. I can honestly say that I have had no problems with my account not being credited with what I had coming.
Another way to make money on Cybergold is by signing up for different services. They pay between $5 and $20. Many require a credit card, but are on a 30-day trial basis. You are given $5 for signing up and then you just have to cancel within the 30 days and your card is not charged. Sprint has an offer for long distance service. They will pay your $15 for signing up. Some of these are useless to me, but could come in handy for some people and even pick up an extra $15-$20 for doing it.
Cybergold just joined up with MyPoints, so they do offer many more ways to earn money. There are a lot more sites and they seem to add them more frequently than before.
Now, what can you do with the money in your account? Well, you can either transfer it to your credit card, deposit it in your checking account, spend it with different sites on the web or donate it to charity. I have chosen to deposit my account to my credit card. I know I mentioned earlier that I was leery of using my credit card over the internet. However, I have come to trust Cybergold and supposedly it is under locked security and is safe. I gave it a try and to this day have had no problems doing it.
You can transfer it to your credit card when your account reaches $10. I usually do this twice a month. It is credited within a week or so. It shows up on your account statement as a credit from Cybergold. I have had no problems with it being transferred in a safe and timely manner.
So, as you can see, this is a site where you can make some pretty decent money without much work. It is a good way to help pay off some of your credit card debts or just transfer it to your checking account. It has helped me to pay off my Visa. I will continue using this site for months to come.
